****Louis has been with us longer than we would like, so he has been added to our Lonely Hearts Club. His adoption fee has been waived****Woof woof and hello! My name is Louis, and I am a very good boy looking for a very good friend and a very good home! I`m a cutie with a wiggly bootie and adorable spots on my face, While I AM a dalmatian, I am not looking to be one of 101. Instead, I would do best if I am the only doggo in the home. I`ve done well with kids in my previous home and I was also crate trained and potty trained. So, if you are looking smart for a canine roomie with a lot of love to give, look no further! I cannot wait to meet you, so you can see what a good boy I am! Medical History: I appear to be a healthy adult, but it`s always a good idea to set up an appointment with your vet soon after adoption so we can meet each other!Weight: ~ 50lbsAdoption Fee: Louis` adoption fee has been waived

Story
Hi there, I'm Zed! I'm 3+ years old, and weigh 60+ lbs. I'm smart, eager to please, friendly to all the people I meet, and extremely loyal to my family.BUT - I'm not the dog for everyone. I'm a little nervous, and a little unsure, and I need a leader who I know I can trust. I'm unpredictable around other dogs, I have lived with them and been great friends with some, but I can get overwhelmed and try to drive away others. And if I don't know someone's in charge, I can also be leash reactive to strange dogs. I'm fine with cats, and even chickens! Young children who aren't dog savvy can push my boundaries, and that's not good for me. I probably do best with kids over 10. I'm not a first-time dog owner, nor am I an apartment dog.Now here's all the good stuff. I'm 100% house trained, crate trained and leash trained. I share toys and treats and all my favorite things easily. I don't chew anything I'm not supposed to. With a leader I trust (men are my favorite), I learn quickly, and listen to what you say. I love car rides too! Fetch is one of my favorite games, although I'm good at entertaining myself too. And this summer I learned that I like the water, at least I like dipping in the puppy pool.My perfect home would be a place where I can be the center of attention, get plenty of walks and fun, and be understood for who I am. If you think you're a fit, I would love to meet you!DATCP#483538

Story
🐾 Meet Rexie — The Quiet Heart That’s Learning to Bloom 🖤 Location: Viroqua, WI Age: ~1.5 years Weight: ~43 lbs Adoption Fee: $350 Breed: Listed as Australian Kelpie, but we think this girl has some Doberman sweetness in her, too. ⸻ Rexie is a soft, gentle soul who has already lived more life than most dogs ever should. She came to us underweight and heartworm positive, but she has completed her treatment like the brave girl she is — and now she’s finally ready for her forever. Rexie is calm, quiet, and easy to live with. She likes to be near her person without needing constant attention — the type of girl who just wants to be with you. She sleeps on a dog bed right next to her foster mom’s bed every night, and if invited, she’ll happily climb up for extra cuddles. She is a certified cuddle-bug once she trusts you. But that trust takes a little time. Rexie has been through a lot, and she warms up slowly, especially with new people. But once she decides you are safe? You become her person. She will follow you with those soft eyes, lean her head into your hand, and let her heart rest knowing she is loved. Walk on leash , but has been going in the acre fenced in pen since July . In the Home Lives with 7 other dogs of all shapes and sizes — no issues at all Is respectful and gentle with cats — may be curious, but does not chase Very calm, even-tempered, and easy-going The only time she gets super excited is dinner time (food is her love language), and once she’s done eating, she melts right back into her calm self Kennel trained but paces in it with anxiety wants to be near her people but does not destroy it . Her Perfect Home Rexie would do best with: Someone patient and kind A home that understands shy dogs bloom in quiet love, not pressure Another friendly dog would be a bonus, but not required Once she bonds, she will be your shadow, your softness, your steady little heart. She doesn’t want loud. She doesn’t want chaos. She wants love that whispers “you’re safe now.” ⸻ Rexie’s Promise Give her time, and she will: • Curl her head under your hand • Press her warm chest against yours • Trust you completely • And love you with a depth only rescued dogs seem to understand ⸻ If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal, deeply bonded companion, Rexie is waiting. Her heart is soft. Her spirit is resilient. And her forever is out there. 🖤 Please go to Lastpawrescue.org and fill out an adoption application. Story
Meet Shaw! Shaw is an energetic, playful, and super sweet boy who is fully potty trained and very well-behaved in the house. He doesn’t need to be crated when you leave, rarely barks, and loves to curl up on the couch with soft blankets. He knows sit, shake, and wait, and sleeps in his crate at night. Shaw LOVES toys, especially balls, and is great at fetch and jumping to catch. He’ll bring toys to you when he wants to play or entertain himself pushing them around. He’s a cuddly guy who loves to rest his head on you… but he’s also a big licker! Giving him a toy helps redirect his excitement so he can enjoy calm snuggles. Shaw can be nervous with new people and needs slow introductions, especially inside the home. He currently lives with kids 10 and 14, but can be anxious around younger or unfamiliar children. Treats, toys, and being ignored at first help him warm up. He’s much more comfortable meeting new people out and about and at our adoption center and meets new dogs easily. Speaking of dogs, Shaw loves them. A playful dog companion would be ideal to help build his confidence and keep him busy. He enjoys walks, has lots of energy, and would do great with an active family. A fenced yard is a bonus, but he also does well on a tie-out. Shaw is goofy, affectionate, athletic, and so much fun. He just needs a patient, understanding home with older kids and a playful dog friend. Once he trusts you, he’ll be your loyal, loving, cuddly buddy.
