Story
Yin is a beautiful 6-year old female Terrier/Spaniel/Poodle mix (possibly a Cockapoo) who was picked up on Scott Road in the New Matamoras Ohio area by a Washington County Ohio Deputy Sheriff and brought to the HSOV on February 16, 2024. She was accompanied by her best friend (Yang). Both girls were microchipped but, unfortunately, neither of the microchips were registered. Yin has a black curly haired coat with a few white hairs on her chest/belly, a long tail, and a darling chubby face with dark brown eyes, a black button nose, and large floppy ears. This little sweetheart has an lovable, rather demure, personality and is a pushover for attention. Yin weighs 42.2 lbs. She doesn't appear to have had any walking-on-a-leash experience, but she LOVES to snuggle in your arms for carry-out service. Yin and Yang are very bonded with each other and neither of them wanted to be separated from each other to have their photos taken. Since neither of the girls appeared to have been accustomed to walking on a leash, HSOV Executive Director Amy Rogers and HSOV Volunteer Jennie Payton Sherrard took them out together for quick photos later in the afternoon on February 16th soon after their arrival. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Yin and Yang were held for three days so that their family would have a opportunity to reclaim them with proof of ownership. Sadly, nobody called or came looking for this awesome pair of 'pups'. Yin and Yang are sharing a kennel and have not been separated since their arrival. They will be spayed in the near future and would love to find a home together. Yin went to a medical foster home on on March 19, 2024. Yang went home with a foster family on March 24 2024 who plans to adopt her as soon as she is spayed. Yang was adopted by his foster family today (April 16, 2024) after she was spayed at their veterinarian.
