Story
Meet Harley, a very active 1-yr-old Red Doberman with the most amazing smile. He's friendly to both dogs and people, but will chase deer. He loves to spend as much time as possible outdoors chasing balls and playing. He'll let you know when he wants out by ringing a bell by the door. He's kennel and house trained. He could use some help with leash manners but does know 'sit' and 'lay'. A fenced yard would be best so he can run and play to burn off his puppy energy.

Story
William is a truly stunning 1-year-old Doberman (a beautiful fawn/albino boy) weighing around 60 lbs. If you've been following his story, you know life hasn't always been easy for him — but what stands out most is his incredible resilience. When William first came into our care, he was anxious and carrying the effects of an old foot injury. Radiographs have shown moderate osteoarthritis in his tarsal (ankle) joint. To give William the best long-term comfort and function, he will be undergoing a surgical procedure called arthrodesis — a joint fusion surgery that stabilizes the joint and eliminates the chronic pain caused by arthritis. Despite everything he's been through, William continues to show us who he truly is at heart — a gentle, affectionate soul with so much love to give. William is happiest when he's close to his people. He's a total cuddle bug and a loyal companion who thrives on connection and reassurance. Once he feels safe, his sweet personality really shines. He is fully house-trained and crate-trained, and his crate has become a comforting space where he can relax and feel secure. Like many young dogs still learning about the world, William is continuing to build confidence on leash. He can be reactive when encountering other dogs or unfamiliar people on walks. His future home should be prepared to continue working on this with patience, structure, and consistency. With the right guidance, we believe William will continue making wonderful progress as he learns the world is a safe place. William has shown interest in making dog friends, but slow and thoughtful introductions will be key. We are hopeful that once neutered and fully recovered from surgery, he will continue to mature and improve socially. A few important notes for William's best match: • No cats — we don't feel a feline home would set him up for success. • Kids are okay, but older children would be best, as he's still learning how to manage his long, lanky legs (honestly… picture Bambi 🦌💛). This boy means well in everything he does. He has so many wonderful years ahead of him, and he is so deserving of a home that will meet him with patience, consistency, and love — including through his recovery period. William is ready for his fresh start. Could it be with you? 🐾💛
