Story
Rooster is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. This handsome boy was found as a stray running out in the country. He is approximately 7 months old and weighs 45 pounds. He will probably weigh in the 60-pound range when fully grown. We are not sure of his breed mixture but think he may have some lab and Doberman in him. Rooster has a great personality and disposition. He loves all of the other rescue dogs, big and small. He loves people and will lie at your feet whenever he can. He loves water and the garden fountain is his favorite spot to hang out and keep cool. Rooster is a very sweet and goofy puppy. He is pretty much house-trained and runs to go outside with his buddies. He will need some leash training and would probably do better with a harness. We have no idea of how he is with cats. Rooster loves to run and play with his dog friends and toys. He may not be suitable for a home with small children because he may knock them over when running and playing. Rooster needs a fully fenced-in and secure yard. He will be a great dog for hiking or going to the dog park. He is an active boy and will run around the yard with a toy in his mouth playing tag with his buddies. He likes to be the leader and have everyone chase him. Rooster would do well either as an only dog or with other dogs. Rooster is a healthy and happy boy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, (DAPP, Bordatella, rabies, canine influenza), and microchipped. He is receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Roosters' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Danbury, Glastonbury, or Dayville CT. Rooster is fostered by our friends at Shaggy Dog Rescue and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Asher came to the shelter when she was 6 months old. The shelter scared her badly, so she went home and is being fostered with a shelter staff member. She is crate and potty trained. She is currently in a home with multiple dogs and cats. She is playful and medium to high energy. A complete lovebug! Asher wants nothing more than to be with her people and get her lovin’s! Asher is heartworm negative, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for her new home! This furbaby is located at Animal Harbor in southern middle TN. You can apply at www.animalharbor.org. If approved, we will facilitate a virtual meet and greet and answer any questions you may have. Story
Hi, my name is Fury! But I'm more like a happy, gentle breeze that wants to have fun! You might recognize my name from the famous character Director Nick Fury of the Marvel movies, I'm kinda like him: I love being the center of attention and don't like it when people take my stuff! I am a big dog! With my mixed Doberman Pinscher/Black Labrador genes I am a whopping 52#/lbs and have a ton of energy and muscle that needs to be worked! Because of this it would be best if I was paired with an active family who knows how to keep a dog mentally stimulated and respects my boundaries well. No apartment living for me please! No cats or small children either! My caretakers have learned some important things about me: I am a chow-hound and will try to eat anything I can get my hands on! So please leave food out of reach from me or I'll swoop it all up. Secondly, I would prefer if people didn't grab things that I have in my mouth, it's mine not yours hehe! Overall, I am a big-hearted dog who wants to go play, be adventurous, have fun with other people and dogs! I am however not such a big fan of car rides, they make my tummy feel sick eww! I love all people and dogs, am a healthy, happy boy and just want to find my home. Let's work together and find it!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
