Meet Scarlett. This poor sweet pup, was tagged by our rescue off an urgent euthanasia list. She was skin and bones, neglected, abused, and in bad shape. She had bad hookworms and only weighed 23 pounds. Now she is a happy, healthy whopping 45 pounds. She is about one or two years old. She is doing wonderful with her foster family but is now looking for her forever home. She is completely vetted and spayed. She is heart worm negative and has a health certificate. She is a very sweet, with a typical doberman puppy personality. Please visit our website at https://sites.google.com/view/muddymoosemutts/home or email pawrescued2016@gmail.com for an application. Story
Honey is a sweet two year old Doberman/husky mix. Sadly, her mommy has a terminal illness and has reached out to us to find Honey the perfect forever home. Honey is spayed, up-to-date on all required vaccines, HW negative and micro chipped. Honey is sweet and affectionate but a little awkward. She just needs a little bit of training to become that perfect dog. Training her mom just hasn’t been up to lately. Honey has one beautiful blue eye and the most adorable ears I’ve ever seen. She weighs about 55 pounds. She would do well with older children that wouldn't be knocked over as well as a good natured doggy sibling. If you would like to give this cutie pie a place in your family while putting her current mom at ease, please email dogs4mylife@gmail.com or omlc7@hotmail.com and we will send our information and application. Story
Meet Legs!Legs is a 2-year-old Doberman mix with a heart as big as his 60-pound frame. This playful and goofy boy was found as a stray with a leg injury, but now that he's with the rescue he's on his way to healing.Legs is sweet, snuggly, and has a knack for making you laugh with his silly antics. He’s crate trained, house trained, and leash trained—ready to fit seamlessly into your family. He loves playing with other dogs and gets along well with children, making him a great companion for an active household. While Legs adores his canine friends, he’s not a fan of cats and would do best in a cat-free home. His affectionate and fun-loving personality will brighten your days, and he’ll happily join you for adventures or cuddle up for some quality snuggle time.Legs is proof that resilience and love can shine through even the toughest circumstances. If you’re looking for a loyal, lively companion, Legs is ready to run straight into your heart! Are you the one to give this amazing boy his happily ever after?IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.January 16, 2025, 10:22 pm

Story
This dog is not with Spotty Dog Rescue. We are posting him as a courtesy to help him find a home. Please email karolina.a.nunez@gmail.com or call 347-266-6991 for more information.  Austin is a beloved pet whose family circumstances have changed and they have to make the hearbreaking decision to rehome him. His elderly grandmother is moving in and cannot be around dogs due to her health status. Austin is a 1.5 year old happy, healthy dog who was rescued from Tennessee when he was 6 months old and has been with his family since that time. He is fully housebroken, loves his people and especially loves his kids. Austin has never been around cats so we don't know how he would be with them. His family did have a hamster who would be held and placed in the exercise ball around him and he ignored him.  Austin loves going on walks, he loves to run in the yard and play catch with his ball. If anyone is getting in the car, he wants to jump right in and he will sit peacefully enjoying every ride. It is one of his favorite things to do!  Overall he is an amazing companion and listens very well. If you can help this family out and feel that you can give him the home he is looking for, please reach out to his mom. Thank you! ##2269231##

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.1/20/25 Currently located in PA in one of our foster homes. Millie originally can't into rescue a little over a year ago, after a domestic violence situation left her homeless. Her home included a baby and a couple of very young kids which she loved dearly. We specifically wanted a home with kids for her at that time. She was adopted 9-10 months ago, to a family with a 14 yr old son. We were under the impression that everything was going great, until today. We don't know the circumstances, but Millie bit the 14 yr old. It was a very minor bite. No medical attention was needed. But now the son is scared of her and threatening to go live with the other parent if Millie stays in the home. Her adopter says that she has always been tense around the son. We do know that she is more comfortable around women, and she may suffered some abuse from the 'dad' in her original home. Millie is very cuddly and affectionate. She is excellent with other dogs and cats. Please help us keep her out of the shelter. She needs a home, or a foster home, right away. Due to this incident, we would like to see her go to a home with out children. But may be open to a meet n greet with a family that includes, to see how she responds to them. It seems that she likes young kids, and i would assume that if she meets the kids while young, she will be fine with them as they grow into big kids. This will just need to be determined on a case by case basis. Millie has been through a lot in her 4 years of life. She needs an understanding family who will accept her and pay attention to any cues she may give when she's uncomfortable. She is located in PA but we may be able to find a volunteer transport to help her get to other locations. Please share. She is very urgent. email apps.aasr@gmail.com for more info. To apply to foster or adopt:Adoption app https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
