Meet Jasper! He is 7 years old and weighs about 65 lbs. Jasper recently lost his person and has been adjusting to his new foster home. We have learned he is pretty chill, takes direction extremely well and does awesome on a leash! Jasper is not destructive and very low maintenance. There are two resident dogs similar in age, and he does not seem to mind them. Overall, Jasper is a super sweet all-around good dog! Munich, as German as the beer!! Now, I am not a beer drinker, but I have heard that German beer is da best!! So, I am a miniature Doberman/shepherd mix. And at 33#, I am smaller in stature but not personality!! I am such a happy guy, saved from the pound by the rescue team. The pound peeps were so happy for me because they knew I am a special boy and now I am safe and ready for adoption ! I don't have a napoleon complex. With Maddie, born February 2024, you get a varierty.  She is a mix of Doberman, Australian Shepherd, German Shepherd and throw in a little bit of Mutt.  Maddie is house trained and knows some commands.  She fetches and enjoys being active.  She needs a secure fenced yard to run and explore.  A common trait for her mix of breeds is protectiveness and Maddie won't disappoint - she is loyal and protective. Maddie will need a home with adults and older children (age 13+) only.  She does not do well around small or younger children and tends to resource guard.  She would love to be with people that can take her on a daily walk, play fetch and give her some type of mental stimulation. Maddie needs a quiet home and a place she can hang out if she wants to be away from people.  It takes her a little while to warm up to people and does not like people getting into her space without her showing she is ready for it.  If there are older kids in the home, it's important they understand Maddie will need time to adjust and will come to you when she's ready. The suggested adoption donation for Maddie is $400, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note:  A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Adoptions for Maddie are limited to the area within 50 miles of Omaha so that she can continue to take advantage of free training from our certified positive reinforcement trainers.       Information about the adoption process:  All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note:  We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. So, withe the name "Tumble" you would think I am clumsy, right?? UH NOPE!! i am a GRACEFUL Doberman boy with long gangly legs and only one working eye :D I mean, if that is not a set up for tripping/falling/and "tumbling" then I don't know what is!!??? So here is my deal, I am a senior doberman with the vive of life still in my bones! I am smart, I am happy, I am still pretty active and I am looking for a soft place to land with fun family and fun life ahead! My original mom saved me several years ago and gave me an amazing life...however, hers was cut short by cancer :( So here I am looking for my FUREVER family! But it fits me, I mean, REX is kind of like a T Rex, and I have the face/mouth SIMILAR to a T Rex, but a WHOLE LOT CUTER!! and LY, i mean, what does that stand for???? OK, they made up my name. And I identify with it :D AND that is all that really matters! So now you know a very little about me, what about you?? do you LOVE DOBERMANS??? I am all all that! Hi, my name is Fury! But I'm more like a happy, gentle breeze that wants to have fun! You might recognize my name from the famous character Director Nick Fury of the Marvel movies, I'm kinda like him: I love being the center of attention and don't like it when people take my stuff! I am a big dog! With my mixed Doberman Pinscher/Black Labrador genes I am a whopping 52#/lbs and have a ton of energy and muscle that needs to be worked! Because of this it would be best if I was paired with an active family who knows how to keep a dog mentally stimulated and respects my boundaries well. No apartment living for me please! No cats or small children either! My caretakers have learned some important things about me: I am a chow-hound and will try to eat anything I can get my hands on! So please leave food out of reach from me or I'll swoop it all up. Secondly, I would prefer if people didn't grab things that I have in my mouth, it's mine not yours hehe! Overall, I am a big-hearted dog who wants to go play, be adventurous, have fun with other people and dogs! I am however not such a big fan of car rides, they make my tummy feel sick eww! I love all people and dogs, am a healthy, happy boy and just want to find my home. Let's work together and find it!!
