Hi, my name is Fury! But I'm more like a happy, gentle breeze that wants to have fun! You might recognize my name from the famous character Director Nick Fury of the Marvel movies, I'm kinda like him: I love being the center of attention and don't like it when people take my stuff! I am a big dog! With my mixed Doberman Pinscher/Black Labrador genes I am a whopping 52#/lbs and have a ton of energy and muscle that needs to be worked! Because of this it would be best if I was paired with an active family who knows how to keep a dog mentally stimulated and respects my boundaries well. No apartment living for me please! No cats or small children either! My caretakers have learned some important things about me: I am a chow-hound and will try to eat anything I can get my hands on! So please leave food out of reach from me or I'll swoop it all up. Secondly, I would prefer if people didn't grab things that I have in my mouth, it's mine not yours hehe! Overall, I am a big-hearted dog who wants to go play, be adventurous, have fun with other people and dogs! I am however not such a big fan of car rides, they make my tummy feel sick eww! I love all people and dogs, am a healthy, happy boy and just want to find my home. Let's work together and find it!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

So here I was, minding my own business at the Target store.... when I was saved by a nice couple who saw me giving birth in the parking lot :( It was cold and it was scary and no one knew if i had puppies anywhere else or if my single puppy was going to live ;( It was a scary time...luckily the rescue had a foster who took me home and I proceeded to give birth to 7 more little ankle biters that day!!! And now my little puppy torpedos are almost old enough to be adopted and I am getting ready to find my real home too!! I am now fully in the POST PARTUM part of my life! My babies are all grown and OUT of the nest and I am ready for a family of my own!! (preferably one that DOESN'T shop at Target :) I have the sweetest and most loving personality. I want to have a sweet and loving family too. I am active and playful but will lay in your lap for hours if you scratch me and kiss me and love me! I am a loyal girl and will give you the best years of my life!! promise :) I am.just so ready for you, please fill out the application and I can be yours furever!! - Came from a situation where he did not get the socialization and exposure to the world that dogs typically get from a young age; because of this he may struggle with new situations, show uncertainty with novel everyday objects, need help understanding leashes, and need patience and structure learning house training - Spent time in a foster home getting great socialization; while there he was playful and also liked to relax on the couch - Learned sit in his foster home and got a good start on potty training, with only a few accidents if his foster family was distracted and didn't let him out in time; will likely need some help from his new family to get 100% there - Felt safe and secure in his crate at night and was fine in it during the day if need be - May not do well in a busy home with young children- With dogs, we have observed him to be fearful of those he hasn't met before, and in most situations will freeze or avoid; slow introductions to new dogs will be important, and he may benefit from a confident and calm dog friend in his new home to help him build confidence- Really wanted to play with the cats in his foster home, which they did not appreciate; we recommend a very slow introduction to any new cats All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
