But it’s not — and he’s a lot more than that. Yeager is a complex guy, but also obliviously happy. You know that kind of happiness only reserved for those with absolutely nothing going on upstairs? Yeah… that! I mean… look at that gaze. There is NOTHING there. Processing? Minimal. Vibes? Chaotic. To be clear: Yeager is A LOT. Not “a little training needed.” Not “puppy energy.” We’re talking full-time project dog. ✔️ Dog social… selectively (great with females & smaller/meduim males) ✔️ Has done well with cats and older kids ✔️ Extremely happy, confident, and always ready to GO ⚠️ Reality check: • Potty trained… but won’t tell you and will absolutely have accidents • Will mark indoors • Does not understand (or respect) human correction • Learns patterns quickly… then uses that knowledge against you • Will outmaneuver your routine (especially when food is involved) • Rarely settles — especially around other animals (play is his full-time job) • Takes correction from other dogs… then forgets it happened 3 minutes later • Destroys beds, feeders, and anything not built for chaos • Eats fast, then immediately wants to sprint/jump (deep-chested breed awareness REQUIRED) Training status: He’s not untrainable, but he is not intuitive. He will require someone experienced, structured, and committed to ongoing training. This is not a “figure it out as you go” dog. Ideal home (non-negotiable): Experienced, active, consistent human(s) who will not give up when he inevitably tests every boundary you set. Doberman or working-breed experience strongly preferred. If you want a chill, easy dog; keep scrolling. If you want a high-drive, chaotic, hilarious, frustrating, incredibly rewarding project… Yeager is your guy. I am a big dog! With my mixed Doberman Pinscher/Black Labrador genes I am a whopping 52#/lbs and have a ton of energy and muscle that needs to be worked! Because of this it would be best if I was paired with an active family who knows how to keep a dog mentally stimulated and respects my boundaries well. No apartment living for me please! No cats or small children either! My caretakers have learned some important things about me: I am a chow-hound and will try to eat anything I can get my hands on! Kingston is a stately name!! And I am more like the PRINCE in the story! What is the story? Let me tell you!! I was born on the streets to a dobie mama and daddy who were lucky enough to be living in a neighborhood who took care of us- in that they provided food and water and kept an eye on us in the cold weather and the hot weather..... However, I didn't get the wonderful hands on love that would have happened in a "home". SO, when i was picked up by the pound..everyone in the neighborhood panicked!! I was so shut down and scared NO ONE would save me!! So they reached out to ALL the rescues and one responded AND saved me! And it has taken me about a month to become the squiggly loving boy that I am now.... all kinds of silliness and love I give!! So I am now ready for a home!! I promise I am such a good pup, I will fill your life with love and the LONG legged doberman prance ;) I need another playful dog in my furever home. I respond well to people but the other dog will give me plenty of outlet for my love of life exuberance! AOOPT ME SOON!! We found Chester sitting on the side of the road and have loved having him in our home for the last three years. He is the most loving lap dog- all he wants is love and snuggles. We have a 9m old and have noticed Chester become jealous of our attention. While he has never been aggressive, we have made the difficult decision to rehome him. He is not fully potty trained, but have noticed he does very well on a pee pad. He does well with our other dog and cats. He has never been around older children.Chester’s ideal living situation would be with someone who doesn’t mind him sitting on his lap, and has time to love on him. He loves playing outside and enjoying the sunshine. He will sleep at your feet and loves to burrow under a blanket.
