Sophie is a "Velcro" dog. Which is common for this breed. She wants to be with her humans as much as possible. She is NOT a yard dog. She is good with kids (she's been with our toddler's since their birth). She has grown up with cats and other dogs. She is particular to women but will accept her male family members. She is protective of her family but has NEVER bitten anyone. She will bark at people she doesn't know. We have a high traffic household and when someone new comes in we make introductions with Sophie. Coming to the decision of rehoming her and our German Shepherd Max has been a heart wrenching decision. My 82 year old mother is now living with us & unfortunately, Sophie and Max's size, and tendency to "lean" have become a trip and fall safety issue for my Mom. We are looking for a breed familiar home and will ask for a home inspection and references if possible. We got Sophie from a breeder when she was 8 weeks old. She has no health issues besides mild seasonal allergies.
