Due to a past attack, Merlin was unfortunately retired from service work, and later his previous owner faced personal circumstances that made it impossible to keep him despite loving him deeply. Merlin is incredibly intelligent, loyal, and forms strong bonds with his people. Having previously worked as a service dog, he thrives with structure, routine, and clear guidance. He is house-trained, well-mannered in the home, and knows basic obedience. One of Merlin’s favorite things is being around people — especially children. Merlin is wonderful with kids and enjoys being part of the family. He has a gentle, loving nature and truly wants to be close to his humans. Because of his past experiences, Merlin can be a little nervous around other dogs at first. However, he has shown he can do well with calmer dogs, especially smaller dogs or relaxed adult dogs that respect boundaries and aren’t overly energetic or pushy. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
