Story
*Courtesy Post for our friends at Little Buckets Farm Sanctuary*   Hi, my name is Arizona and I arrived to Little Buckets Farm Sanctuary on May 23rd.  I am so grateful to Little Buckets who saved me from having to be taken to a kill shelter when my mom was in a desperate plea mode, having gotten a promotion that was taking her across the USA. My Foster Mom at Little Buckets was told that my mom is a purebred Doberman. And my dad is a purebred German Shepherd. I'm only 9 months old and my birthday was August 26 of last year.    I am sweet, fun, loving and I am all up-to-date on vaccines. I'm heartworm, negative & started on preventative, my poop was just tested and was negative and I will be spayed and microchipped on Thursday, June 5th.  So I will be all ready for my new forever family as soon as I recover from my surgery.    So as of June 28th if everything heals well I will be ready to leave to go to my forever family and I would absolutely love to find a family with a fenced in yard because I really, really, really like to run.  I probably need a 5 foot fence just in case. I will need lots of exercise not only because I'm a puppy but because I'm a German Shepherd Doberman mix and I will need lots of exercise. I know I would be a great running or hiking partner.  I love playing fetch and I bet I could learn frisbee too. I'm super smart if I don't say so myself and I love to learn. I already have the basics of sit shake and lay down. I still need a little work, but I know I can get it.  I'm also working on wait and I know I could learn lots more tricks if somebody was willing to just show me the ropes. I walk on the leash and just need a little work on not pulling.  My Foster mom recommends no young kids as I can jump on them.  I haven't been around cats but here at Little Buckets I have seen them and I am very curious as to what they are, and I'll admit I might chase them so I am thinking I might be best to not have any cat friends. Now my Foster mom here was told I had been around other dogs, but she is not sure. I do bark at other dogs when I see them, and I think I will be good with dog friends as long as someone to is willing to properly introduce me to other dogs and take me to a puppy socialization class or work with a trainer or just be really breed savvy. I will need a dog friend that is willing to show me how to act around each other and teach me some dog manners.  I weigh 45 lbs and I have a great smile. I also have amazing fun ears that sure make me even more adorable.  I will be the most loyal friend. I will have your back as I know you will have mine. I will pose for you too as I love my picture taken and my Foster mom thinks I am a dog model already.  I hope you will consider meeting me. I will win your heart over I know. My Foster mom is okay with out of state adoptions if you are the perfect family for me.
