Story
Angel is a very sweet female we think could be a Doberman/rottweiler mix born about 11/24. She’s great with other dogs and ignores cats. Angel came to her foster home very shy and shut down, but she’s happy and comfortable now.  She’ll be timid at first in her new home, but will come out of her shell given time, love and patience. It’s rewarding to help rehab dogs who have not had a very nice start in life, but who end up with a great life! She doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body. If she’s afraid, she’ll cry but never offer to snap or bite. It will be helpful to have a fenced in yard in case it takes a bit for her to get comfortable with her new person walking on a leash. Angel is spayed, healthy house-trined and ready for a new and forever home. LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY! Adoption fee $50. This covers the cost of spay/neuter, DHPP, Rabies, Flea, tick, heart worm check, worm treatment, and microchip. To adopt, you need to first fill out an application. Go to: https://rutherfordcountyhumanesociety.org/dog-adoption-application/ We are located in Western North Carolina.  December 1, 2025, 8:43 am

Story
Brady is a 1-year-old shelter pup with a goofy, affectionate personality and a heart full of love. He’s a playful, energetic youngster who thrives on attention, playtime, and positive training. Brady loves being in the car and is great on leash, making strolls and adventures enjoyable for everyone involved. He has friendly leash interactions with other dogs, and with a little energy burn-off, he settles into sweet, well-mannered moments. He knows sit and is highly treat-motivated, which should make training a breeze. Brady is a very goofy and loving boy who brings joy wherever he goes. He seems potty trained and treat motivated - easy to train. He may be a little jumpy when excited, but he listens well and with positive reinforcement that behavior quickly stops. Brady’s left eye may have some vision impairment. This doesn’t affect his loving nature or his ability to bond, train, and grow with a patient family. With the right environment and gentle handling, Brady can excel and become a loyal, joyful member of a forever home. If you’re looking for a playful, treat-motivated companion with a goofy personality and a big heart, Brady might be the perfect match.
