Story
Meet Rambo – a big-hearted, intelligent boy looking for a dog-savvy home, ideally with experience in Dobermans or similar guarding breeds. Before we tell you all the wonderful things about him, it’s important to be upfront: Rambo needs a home with experienced handlers who understand large, working breeds — especially those familiar with the unique needs and temperament of Dobermans. He’ll thrive in a calm, structured environment with confident leadership and clear boundaries. Once he trusts you, Rambo is the biggest lovebug around. He adores his people and will lean his tall frame gently against you for all the pets and kisses he can get. Despite his size, he’s incredibly polite — no jumping, no pushy behavior — just a sweet, soulful guy who wants to be close to his humans. Rambo is smart as a whip and already knows a long list of commands: Sit, Paw, Down, Stay, Spin — and he’s even muzzle trained. He’s got the foundation of an obedience rockstar and would love a home that can continue nurturing his mind with training and mental engagement. While Rambo hasn’t had direct off-leash play with other dogs, he has shown calm, tolerant behavior around them through the fence — even with small dogs. He may do well with another respectful, low-energy dog who gives him space and doesn’t jump on him. Physically, Rambo may have a condition often referred to as “long back syndrome” — where his spine is slightly too long for his muscular structure. While he gets around just fine, this can cause occasional soreness. Because of this, he’ll need a family who can accommodate his physical needs, including managing his activity level and ensuring he’s not being roughed up by other pets. Supportive care, joint supplements, and a comfortable home setup will go a long way in keeping him happy and healthy. Rambo is loyal, loving, and incredibly rewarding to work with. In the right home — one with breed knowledge, structure, and physical awareness — he’s going to absolutely thrive. Think you’re the right fit for Rambo? Call the Ranch to learn more about this special boy today. He’s ready to find the safe, loving home he truly deserves. Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. While they are with us, each and every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment. Their routines include daily playgroups or partnering with dog buddies, quality time walking or being groomed, and two meals a day with dog biscuits for dessert.  All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.  The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies )  APPLY NOW       October 9, 2025, 4:23 pm

Meet Barrett! Looking for a playful, toy-carrying bundle of joy to add some fun to your life? Barrett’s your guy! This young pup is all about love—for his people and his favorite toys. You’ll catch him proudly parading around with one (or two!) toys in his mouth, showing off like the superstar he is. Barrett grew up right here at the shelter and has even rocked a few socialization classes, so he’s a total pro at making doggie friends. He’d be over the moon to have some furry siblings at home or to hit the dog park for some playtime adventures. He’s at his absolute best when he’s in a familiar spot—give him a cozy, known space, and watch his confidence (and tail!) wag to full speed. Ready for endless playdates and toy parades? Call the Ranch today and come meet Barrett—the happiest, goofiest new buddy you didn’t know you needed! Story
Meet Dilly – The Tall, Goofy Sweetheart You’ve Been Waiting For! Dilly is the definition of a lovable goofball! With legs he never quite grew into, a grin that stretches from ear to ear, and floppy ears that practically vanish when he’s excited, this big guy is all heart and happiness. When he’s extra thrilled, he does the most endearing paw-slaps on the ground — you can’t help but smile back! Despite all of his wonderful traits, Dilly has spent nearly his entire life at the shelter. We don’t know how he’s been overlooked for so long, but we do know that this boy is more than ready for a home of his own. Dilly has grown up surrounded by all kinds of dogs and does incredibly well with them. He’d thrive in a multi-dog household or with regular trips to the dog park. In fact, we recommend he go to a home with at least one other confident pup to help show him the ropes of life outside the shelter. This tall, lanky lovebug is also super smart and eager to please — especially if snacks are involved! He already knows commands like “Sit” and “Wait,” and walks nicely on a leash. With his curiosity and food motivation, he’s the perfect student if you’re looking to teach more. Whether he’s on a walk, playing with doggy friends, or just lounging around with his favorite humans, Dilly is happiest when he’s part of the fun. If you’re ready to give this long-legged lovebug the home he’s been dreaming of, give the Ranch a call and come meet Dilly today! Story
Meet Ronnie! Shy and gentle Ronnie is looking for a calm, patient family who will give her the time and space to build trust and grow confident at her own pace. She will need a home willing to work gently on her socialization with people, allowing her to come out of her shell gradually. Ronnie might be happiest in a quieter household with a nice, securely fenced yard where she can feel safe and explore at leisure. It’s highly recommended that she has at least one other well-mannered dog companion to show her the ropes and help her learn how to be a happy, confident pet. Ronnie has spent nearly her entire life in the shelter, patiently waiting for her chance to experience the loving joys of a real home. It’s high time she busts out and into the world, where she can finally know what it’s like to be truly cherished. She arrived at the Ranch as a slightly older puppy with her siblings Toni, Reggie, Archie, Dilly, and Midge. Many of her siblings have since found homes on farms where they’re thriving—chasing off coyotes and other predators with confidence. Ronnie might do well in that kind of environment too, with room to roam and a purpose to call her own. Because she missed some early socialization, Ronnie has taken a bit longer to warm up to people—but she’s made wonderful progress in a loving foster home filled with doggy friends. She’s already mastered walking politely on a leash, sleeping quietly in her crate at night, and enjoys car rides. With patience and love, Ronnie will reward her family with unending devotion and gentle companionship. If you’re ready to open your heart and give Ronnie the calm, understanding home she deserves, come meet her at the Ranch today! Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog.
