Story
Meet Daisy Ann Marie 🌼 six months old, 26 pounds, and approximately 97% cuddles, 3% pure silliness. Daisy is a tiny little love nugget with long legs, soft wrinkles, and the cutest smile you’ve ever seen on a puppy. She’s a stunning black-and-reddish girl (maybe Doberman/Shepherd, maybe just ✨perfect✨) with a magical little sliver of blue in one eye that makes everyone stop mid-sentence and go, “WAIT… her EYE 😍.” Her face has all these adorable squishy wrinkles, and when she smiles? Game over. See her Puppy love firsthand in her video! https://youtu.be/b9QKiUvUCzQ?si=l9psXAo9c-xoqbnF This girl does not just like affection, she fully commits to it. Daisy will walk right up to you and melt her whole body into yours like she’s trying to become one with your soul. She gives the gentlest baby kisses, snuggles like a professional, and believes personal space is a myth. If you sit down, congratulations, you now have a Daisy. Daisy is still a baby and can be a little unsure at first, mostly because she’s very attached to her people. Once she realizes you’re safe, though, her goofy side comes out fast. Expect wiggles, happy hops, clumsy puppy play bows, and that classic “I don’t know what I’m doing but I’m having fun” energy. With other dogs, Daisy is a certified sweet potato. She’s very submissive, friendly, and wants everyone to be her friend. She tries to play with just about anyone and does best with other playful-but-gentle dogs who invite her into the fun without overwhelming her. She doesn’t need another dog, but having a doggy bestie would make her heart very happy and help her confidence grow. And yes! Daisy lives with cats! She thinks they’re fascinating little creatures and greets them with full-body wiggles. She does best with cats who don’t mess with her too much (no curtain-jumping jump scares, please), and if a cat is chill, Daisy is chill right back. On leash, Daisy is an absolute dream. She doesn’t pull at all, making her a perfect walking buddy for anyone who appreciates a calm stroll. She even does this adorable little flip move when she’s on the leash — it’s impossible not to smile! Daisy rides wonderfully in the car (front seat or back!) and is crate trained, sleeping through the night like a champ. She might whine a bit if she has FOMO, but that’s just because she loves being close to her people and friends. She’s also in the process of potty training and learning fast thanks to her eager-to-please attitude. Inside the home, Daisy is surprisingly calm once she settles. She’s kennel trained, potty trained, and loves cozy naps after playtime. She may attempt a little snack theft if a food bowl is left unattended (puppy logic), but honestly, can you blame her? Daisy would do great in an apartment or a house, as long as she gets her daily walks, chances to zoom around, and time to be a puppy. She loves to run, play, sniff, then immediately come inside and collapse into a cuddle puddle. If you’re looking for a goofy, snuggly, gentle puppy who will stick to you like Velcro, steal your heart, and possibly your spot on the couch, Daisy Ann Marie is ready to wiggle her way into your life 🌼 Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? ******Please note, once you complete the initial screening, you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks, and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer-run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision-making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Zephyr, also known as Zee, is an 8 year old neutered male Doberman Pinscher weighing in at 75lbs. He iscurrently being fostered in Houston, TX and can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! Zee is a sweet, affectionate boy who absolutely adores people of all ages. He has been wonderful with children, neighborhood kids, and even elderly family members, showing a gentle, intuitive nature as if he knows when to be extra careful. Though he can be shy at first, once he warms up his goofy personality shines through—he’ll hop like a bunny when he’s excited, soak up every bit of affection, and happily cuddle up next to you or sleep by your side at night. Zee loves outings with his humans too, whether it’s a car ride, a trip for ice cream, or hanging out with friends—he’s happiest when he’s included and getting attention. Zee has a moderate energy level and is an easy going guy. He enjoys playing tug, fetch (even if he doesn’t always bring the ball back!), and romping around the yard. He’s fully house trained, can be left alone with full run of the house without any issues, and is not destructive. Zee walks on a leash with a harness and is still working on pulling, especially when he spots squirrels, cats, or dogs, but he’s improving with consistency. He is happy to hang out with his bone if his humans are busy! Zee would thrive best as the only pet in the home. He does not do well with other dogs and has a high prey drive with cats, so a single-pet household is ideal. That said, he makes up for it by being incredibly loving, loyal, and people-focused. Some of his cutest quirks include chasing dragonflies like a Disney princess, stealing socks just for attention, and “goosing” you if he feels ignored—he clearly finds it hilarious. He is truly a gentle soul looking for a home where he can be someone’s one and only, and he will return that love tenfold. 🐾 If you are interested in adding Zephyr into your family, please fill out the adoption application below! https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DDAR/Dog ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. Story
Freya is such an engaging and energetic pup! She is always ready to play and will follow you around the house, eager to join in on whatever youre doing. She is a big girl so the size of her current home is too small and low-energy. We hope she goes to a home with lots of space, engaging owners, and ample stimulation. Perhaps someone she can be a lap dog to! Lately, because of the anxiety of her living situation, she has developed a skin picking habit and she licks anything on her coat out of the fur. This makes it difficult to apply and keep oils on her skin, such as flea preventative. With attention, care, and patience, this habit does clear up. Overall, though, she is very friendly! She adjusts quickly to strangers, loves rowdy kids, plays with the cat, and greets everyone with a big tail wag! Freya is not a dominant dog and doesn't get aggressive. She prefers to lay down when other dogs come by to make herself smaller, as well. She just wants to fit in as your new best friend!

Meet sweet old man Tempo! He is a 10 year old gentle Dobie. He is very affectionate, mellow, easy to walk. He likes to play with toys and hang with his humans, and is fascinated by other dogs. He likely has some sort of neuro condition, as he often turns in circles, but he doesn't let it dampen his spirits... he just wants to live out his golden years with a family who is willing to see past his circling and enjoy him as the positive being that he is. If you are ready to open your heart and your home to this social soul, please ask to meet Tempo Tempo has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home. Story
Chipa is wishing for a quiet, patient home this holiday season! While the shelter is a bit much for this special boy, he's a sweet soul who tolerates gentle touch and will even offer a brief, soft gaze with a little encouragement. 📝Shelter Notes: Nervous dog, but leashes easily. Difficult walking on leash, likely due to stress. Allows all over touch. Signs of possible dog reactivity. Doesn't seem to know any commands at this time, but took treats gently. Trainer Evaluation ⬇️ Trainer assessments are sponsored by your donations 👉🏼 https://givebutter.com/turbofund 🐾Kennel Presence: Chipa was hesitant but was able to be leashed relatively easily. He came out into the yard area with coaxing. ✋🏼Touch: Chipa tolerated touch all over but did not seek out much affection. I was able to pick up his paw without issue. Chipa is heartbreakingly skinny and you can feel and see his bones throughout his body, including his ribs and hips. His coat is dull and coarse from lack of care and he has a couple sores on his legs. 🐶Dog to Dog: We tested Chipa with a female rottweiller mix A602533, male Great Pyrenees mix Scorpio, and male McNab collie mix. Chipa tested well with the female rottie mix. When the female sniffed his butt a little bit too long, he did lift his lip a little to let her know he was no longer comfortable. Later when the rottie jumped on him in excitement, Chipa did not really react. When meeting male GP Scorpio, Chipa had a bit of a mixed interaction. Chipa did not really like Scorpio too much at the gate. When they were in the yard together, Chipa seemed to do a bit better, but when he was sniffing Scorpio's butt he suddenly went between Scorpio's legs and gave a snap. There is a possibility that he saw a fly, but the interaction was not ideal. When testing Chipa with male McNab collie, he tested better and allowed the other dog to sniff his butt thoroughly and jump on him similar to the rottie's behavior. This indicates that Chipa may be less comfortable with dogs that are larger than him, or potentially with larger male dogs. Overall, Chipa seems like he would be fine with most other dogs after slow introductions. Slow introductions are always recommended when bringing home a new shelter dog and should be done over the course of weeks (not days). Introducing new dogs in a shared home together over the course of several weeks can give the shelter dog a chance to decompress and feel safe, and the resident dog a chance to acclimate to the presence of a new roommate. 🤍Other: Chipa was found as a stray with another dog. Both dogs went onto a golf course and Chipa bit a golfer as he was walking away. Chipa reportedly bit the victim on the back of the leg, with the victim sustaining one puncture and one laceration. It is unclear what caused the incident, but it should be noted that Chipa is a pretty insecure dog and the bite may have been related to this lack of confidence. Chipa is also in terrible shape and may have been stray for a while or may not have had a very loving home prior to becoming stray. He is emaciated and shut down, with sores on his legs and a coarse coat that is overdue for proper grooming and nutrition.
