Meet Duke! Duke is a sweet 7 year old doberman who was surrendered to us through no fault of his own. Duke is a fully trained, lovable boy with a medium energy level, so hes happy to enjoy a long walk or simply relax and hang out with his people. Duke gets along well with kids and dogs, though he would thrive best in a home without cats. His favorite pastimes include going on walks and playing with his toys. Duke does has a skin condition called genetic alopecia and requires to be bathed with medicated shampoo which can be purchased at any box store. This skin condition does not phase him though, Duke is a happy go lucky, affectionate boy who is just dreaming of his forever home! We promised Duke that the rest of his life, would be the best of his life. Hello, my name is Skye and I am a very sweet and loving Doberman Pinscher. I, along with my sisters, was dumped in a very high kill shelter in NC. New Beginnings stepped in just in the nick of time to save us and give us our very own new beginning in life. My foster mom says that I am a very sweet and loving girl with endless potential to learn. I get along well with all of the dogs here as well and love to play. I especially like the little girl who feeds us cookies when she comes to see us. I was rescued in just the nick of time from a very high kill shelter, but now I am ready to find a family who will love me as much as I will love them. I will go out on a spay contract and that means that I will need to be spayed at 12 months of age...it has been proven that early spay and neuters can cause multiple cancers and other illnesses as well as growth, hip and joint problems as I grow and get older. I am up to date on all of my shots including Rabies. I am on monthly Heartguard, and also Frontline for those nasty fleas and ticks, so none of those pesky critters and I am microchipped so I will never get lost again. Meet Canik!Canik is a big, lovable teddy bear who’s happiest when he’s cuddling up with his people and getting all the attention he can. He’s friendly and gentle with everyone he meets — kids, adults, and even strangers — and always ready to greet new friends with a wagging tail.This handsome boy is both house trained and crate trained, and he walks beautifully on a leash. He’s even been a perfect gentleman on outings to Lowe’s! Canik currently lives with three kids, a cat, and two other dogs. He does enjoy playfully teasing the cat and trying to get him to join in on the fun (the cat, however, does not share his enthusiasm), but he’s never shown aggression. He just needs supervision to resist the temptation of sneaking snacks from the litter box!Canik loves his toys — especially ones with stuffing, which he takes great joy in removing. Every now and then he’ll need a reminder about which toys belong to him and which belong to the kids, since throw pillows and stuffed animals can look pretty tempting.He’s playful outside and gets along well with the family’s small dog, though the two sometimes have little disagreements indoors (mostly thanks to the small dog). Canik knows sit, stay, and shake, and he’s always eager to please — especially if there are treats involved.If you’re looking for a sweet, cuddly companion who adores his people, loves food, and brings joy wherever he goes, Canik is ready to melt your heart and fill your home with love.My adoption fee of $450 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention.
