Meet Butch, a seven-year-old Dobie mix weighing 68 pounds. If you`re looking for a loyal best friend, Butch is ready to steal your heart. This handsome Doberman is everything people love about the breed—intelligent, affectionate, people-oriented, and incredibly devoted to his humans. Dobermans are known for forming deep bonds with their families, and Butch is no exception. He loves being with his people and is happiest when he`s included in the action. Butch has met a small dog while with us and did very well.Butch came to us with a significant injury to one of his legs, believed to possibly be the result of a severe burn. Thankfully, X-rays showed no fractures or damage to the bone, and his leg is healing nicely. He still has a ways to go before he`s fully recovered, but he`s making great progress every day. He`s also underweight and has a small lump on his chest that should be monitored by his future veterinarian.Despite everything he`s been through, Butch hasn`t let it dampen his spirit. He walks well on a leash, absolutely loves chasing tennis balls, and is always happy to spend time with his people. His cropped ears give him the classic Doberman look, but behind that striking appearance is a gentle, sweet dog who just wants to be loved.Butch is looking for a family who will continue helping him heal, both physically and emotionally, while giving him the life every dog deserves. With good nutrition, veterinary follow-up, and plenty of love, this incredible boy has a bright future ahead of him.If you`re ready for a loyal, loving companion who will stand by your side through thick and thin, Butch is waiting to meet you. This pet is available for adoption on 7/11/2026 2:23 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. Story
This is a courtesy post, so please contact Ian at the number below. Hank is almost 2 years old and comes from an ACH chocolate lab (father) and a doberman (mother). He is very outgoing, playful and always willing to give some affection. He has done a little bit of hunting, a whole lot of playing and has socialized with many other dogs and people, he is also used to training collars and responds well to them. Hank has never had any health concerns, he is neutered and chipped. The one thing he is guilty of us resource guarding, though he has never been aggressive, he eats fast and will be vocal towards others around his food. He is a chewer, and has occasionally chewed up houseplants, wooden furniture (as a puppy) and other objects he seems to think are toys. Hank prefers an extremely active lifestyle, he has no quit and that really is the primary reason we need to rehome him. With a kiddo on the way, we know we wont be able to give him the attention he deserves and we fear we may not want a dog with so much energy around the newborn. We do not WANT to rehome hank, we love him, but that love for him is also why know we must rehome him to someone with the time and space ongoing for him. Please reach out to Ian at 509-656-4865 with any questions. We have not met Hank and urge you to do your own evaluation.
