Story
Bought him in Florida while on Active Duty Military Service as a puppy, had another dog in the home (Poochin) which he got along with very well. Went through and graduated extensive obedience training, now my current life is no longer conducive to this breeds requirements. Spends a lot of time alone, and has developed severe anxiety and is leery of strangers and other dogs. He’s very sweet and loving, and great protector of house, very loyal as well. Due to my current life, I can no longer provide him with the working activity he requires. When introduced properly, he has been great around female dogs. Has only shown aggression with humans when directly approached, however he’s been introduced to people and has positive reactions towards them. Looking for a home that can work with him and satisfy his drive. He would thrive in a home with a large backyard.

Story
Meet Aubie 💙 Aubie is a 10 year old Boxer mix. He had a wonderful home where he was spoiled and loved up until a few months ago and then his world fell apart 😔. Aubie’s owner got very sick and could no longer care for himself or Aubie. Aubie was placed at a local vet clinic for several months in hopes that someday he could return home to his person and the life he had always known but unfortunately that is not going to be possible due to the fact that his previous owner has had to have more surgery and has sadly lost his ability to walk. So now Aubie is looking for a new home where he has never has to worry about the future and he can just focus on being the good boy that he is. Aubie is crate and house trained and would do great in a settled home where he still gets to be active. We think a home with an active person or couple or one with older children would be great for Aubie. He is okay with other dogs but is not really interested in being a doggie friend. Aubie just wants a person to hang with and to play ball non stop 🎾. He is very active for his age so a fenced yard for him to run around in is a high priority especially since he loves to spend time outside. This boy has been through so much recently, we are praying his new family will see this post and give him the opportunity to live out his life in the way he deserves being loved and cared for by his new hero. ❤️

Story
Introducing the most handsome boy, Loki!🐕 Loki is a 10 month-old, 52lb Boxer/Rotti/Bulldog mix that is ready to meet his forever family. He is sweet, snuggly, and loves to play! He is such a good boy that deserves a home of his own that will appreciate him for the amazing, intelligent boy that he is💕 This good boy is great with other dogs. He loves to play with them, go for walks, and snuggle up with the other pups in his foster home. He is very smart and trainable and LOVES to learn. He is very toy-driven (but not possessive of them!) and his favorites are his jolly ball and nylabone!🎾 Loki has already been through basic obedience training, walks well on a leash and settles well in his crate with a nylabone. He was adopted out at 9 weeks old, but unfortunately he was returned at 9 months because the cat in the home didn’t like his playfulness 🥺 he isn’t aggressive but didn’t respect her cues to “back off,” so now he is back with his foster mom and hoping his next home is his FOREVER. 🏡 Sweet Loki is looking for a home with another playful pup or two and a fenced in yard for romping and sunbathing! He is easy to please, and is still just a puppy with a whole lot of love to give🐶 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel.
