Story
Sassy senior alert! Memaw is a 13-year-old, 55-lb queen who knows exactly what she wants—and isn’t shy about letting you know. If she needs something, she’ll make sure you hear her out until her very reasonable demands are met (as they should be).Memaw loves meeting new people and truly enjoys being part of the action. She gets along great with other dogs and cats, and her favorite place is wherever you are. No matter what room you’re in, Memaw will be right there—standing beside you, leaning on you, or laying close by. She likes to be included in daily life and makes an excellent little shadow. When you get home, you’ll either be greeted with the most enthusiastic little old lady hops (and if you’re lucky, some adorable old lady grunts), or she’ll be so deeply asleep that she didn’t even realize you were gone. At bedtime, she won’t crawl under the covers, but she insists on being reeeeally close—so yes, we’re counting her as cuddly. She’s not very playful and is perfectly content napping in bed, lounging around the house, or going on slow, sniff-everything strolls. Sweet, opinionated, and an absolute dream to have in a home, Memaw is ready to bring her love, loyalty, and sass to a family who will adore her just as much as she deserves.Big Paws of the Ozarks is a foster-based dog rescue in Northwest Arkansas. We require an approved adoption application on file before scheduling meets with our dogs. You can find the application here (www.bigpawsozarks.org/adoption-application).
