*Name: Lucky *Age: 3 years old *Current Weight: 87lbs  *Rescued from: New York, fostered in NY!  *Adoption fee: $475 (plus $150 spay/neuter deposit, see below for more information) This is Lucky!  Lucky’s name says it all — though life hasn’t always been kind to him, this gentle giant is ready for the fresh start he truly deserves. Lucky was heartbreakingly abandoned by his owner who left him in boarding and never came back. Despite that sad chapter, he hasn’t lost his loving spirit or his belief that good people are out there. He greets everyone with a wagging tail and soulful eyes that just melt your heart. This sweet, BIG boy is friendly with other dogs, but is also content just being your one and only. He’s affectionate, loyal, and happiest when he’s near his people. He makes new friends easily, winning them over with his calm but confident demeanor.  Lucky is the perfect mix of playful and gentle — the kind of companion who will brighten your days and be by your side through it all. Lucky’s looking for a forever family who will never give up on him — a home where he’ll be cherished as much as he deserves. Could that be you? IMPORTANT: This dog has not yet been altered. SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption. The $150 deposit will be returned once the contract has been fulfilled. To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR FAQs  ##2576396##

*Name: Jasmine *Age: 4.5 years old *Current Weight: 50 lbs *Rescued from: Georgia, currently fostered in NY *Adoption fee: $400 Meet Jasmine — The Sunshine Pup You’ve Been Waiting For Jasmine is a pup with a heart of gold and a personality that lights up the room. Whether you're looking for a loyal sidekick, a playmate for your pups, or a goofy bundle of joy for your kids — Jasmine might just be your perfect match! Sweet, Social & Special Jasmine is one of those rare dogs who makes an impression on everyone she meets. Her foster family says she has one of the best attitudes they’ve ever seen in a dog — warm, friendly, fearless, and incredibly playful. She’s been nothing but kind, sociable, and gentle with people and other dogs alike. There’s not a single hint of aggression in her — just a heart full of love and a nose for friendship. Smart Cookie Alert! Jasmine is highly intelligent and super food-motivated — a dream combo for training! She’s already working on commands like: “Sit” “Stay” “No” “Get in your room” (She runs right in for a cookie!) She’s eager to learn and thrives with positive reinforcement and a few tasty rewards along the way. Puppy Energy in a Grown-Up Package Though Jasmine is around 4 years old, you’d never know it — she’s got the curiosity, playfulness, and energy of a puppy! She loves to explore, play, and bounce around, and sometimes gets a little clumsy, but she’s endlessly entertaining and full of life. She’d be perfect in a home with kids — she’ll wear them out before they wear her out! Life at Home At home, Jasmine is a total sweetheart. She just wants to be near her people — following you around, curling up at your feet, or laying nearby while you go about your day. She’s happiest just being part of the family. She’s: Extremely housebroken  Very affectionate and people-oriented  Still learning how to “be a dog” in a home — she likely didn’t get much attention or structure before now, but she’s catching up quickly! She may need a few days to settle in at first, but once she does, she’ll connect with you deeply. ‍ Out and About Jasmine loves walks, but she’s a curious explorer and can get easily distracted (squirrels! smells! life!). She does best on a harness to avoid pulling on her collar — and she’s working on better leash manners every day. A Friend to All Jasmine is incredibly dog-friendly and just wants to play, play, play! If you have other dogs, she’ll be thrilled to have playmates. She adores her doggy companion in her foster home and is always looking for chances to snuggle up with him.  Ready for Her Forever Home Jasmine is more than just a beautiful dog — she’s a loving, loyal, and joyful soul who deserves the very best life. Her foster family adores her and says she’s truly something special. All she wants is to love and be loved. Could that be with you? Apply to Adopt Jasmine Today! If Jasmine sounds like the missing piece in your life, don’t wait — submit an adoption application and come meet this amazing girl. Story
Meet Atticus, a SUPER sweet and lovable ~3 year old neutered male terrier/Boxer/lab mix (see pic of Embark DNA results), weighing about 54 lbs! This special boy was picked up as a stray by animal control in east TN. He spent some time in a shelter before being taken into rescue and transported up north, where he has been with his foster family for 7 months now. His foster family absolutely ADORES him and they don’t understand how he hasn’t been adopted yet.  Atticus is a friendly, goofy lovebug who just wants to love and be loved He also thinks he is a lap dog and he dares you to tell him otherwise! He has a zest for life and you can tell by the way he looks at you with such love in his eyes that he is DEEPLY thankful for being given a second chance. He will make you laugh every single day with his silly antics, and then he will happily be your little spoon when you're ready for bed. He is also very smart and knows many commands, he is food motivated and a fast learner!  This handsome guy is a true social butterfly! He absolutely LOVES people, and he is excellent with kids. He loves vigorous pets and butt scratches, and he will happily wiggle his WHOLE body with excitement when you give him attention! He gives the best hugs and kisses and makes the cutest like piggy noises when he is happy   Atticus does well with the resident dogs in his foster home, but he is dog selective and is typically not a fan of large fluffy dogs or dominant dogs. He tends to do better with dogs who are smaller than him. He does have some resource guarding tendencies when it comes to other dogs and food/treats (we always recommend feeding dogs separately regardless). He has not shown any resource guarding tendencies with people, only with other dogs. He has not been cat treated, so we are unsure how he would do with cats.  Atticus came to us with some reactivity to other dogs, which has unfortunately caused him to not "show" well at adoption events. His foster family has been working hard with him on this, with the help of K9 Rehab in Watertown, CT. He is now e-collar trained and walks beautifully on leash, even surrounded by other dogs. We are SO proud of the amazing progress he has made! As part of their Underdog program, K9 Rehab has generously offered continued training classes to Atticus’s adopter for FREE!  Atticus’s ideal home is one where he will be a cherished family member and given the love and attention that he so deserves. He is happiest when he is with his people, so it is important that he goes to a home where he will be welcomed on the couch and in his human’s bed - he is the perfect snuggle buddy! Additionally, we would like to see Atticus go to someone who is willing to keep up with his training to help him be the best version of himself. He is a truly wonderful dog who will absolutely thrive in the right home, and we just know that home is out there. Atticus is medically up to date and housebroken. Apply to meet this special boy today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2553222##

Story
Meet Bruno, a handsome young neutered male mixed breed doggo (our best guess is Boxer/Dutch Shepherd - DNA results pending! ). He is approximately 1 year old and weighs about 35 lbs - the perfect size! Pictures really don't do this guy justice, he's got the most beautiful brindle coat and the BEST ears!   Bruno is a friendly, energetic boy who gets along well with other dogs, people, and kids (we recommend older kids 8+ as he is an exuberant young guy and may unintentionally knock over a small child). He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats. Bruno is smart and food motivated, he has been taking training classes to work on manners and impulse control, and he has been doing GREAT! The ideal home for Bruno is one where he will get plenty of mental and/or physical stimulation to set him up for success. He would also LOVE a fenced in yard of his own and maybe another playful pup in the home to keep him company! From Bruno's current foster:  "Bruno came to Connecticut Sept. 6. Age unknown (possibly a year old, had adult teeth), heritage unknown (Dutch shepherd mix? Heeler? Boxer? Min Pin?). HAPPILY, absolutely no aggression, but lots of energy. Fast forward two months, and he is a really great dog, LOVES training and LOVES to show off his focus. About 35 lbs, a great size. He enjoys our fenced yard and chew bones, loves our weekly training sessions, where he has mastered sit/down/touch/look/wait and even leave it. After 3 sessions, I know he can be your forever companion as long as he has an active life or daily job. Maybe agility? Hiking? With more training, maybe a service dog or companion dog? Not a great candidate for someone working away from home 8 hrs/day, a first time dog owner or family with young children as he is exuberant." Bruno is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained.
