Story
Hello folks: My name is Bandit and I am a 7 year 4 month old brindle, female, Neapolitan/ dogue de Bordeaux mix, and I am looking for my forever home, complete with forever hooman. I am what the hoomans here call “ large”, and can range from 61 to 100 lbs. Once I get used to someone, I am the biggest love bug ever! It does, however, take me a little time. You know how it is when you go to a new place. New place, new people. Even though the hoomans here describe me as being a real doll, I do better as a solo animal. I’m also looking for someone with no kids and who is an adopter with prior experience. My hooman also needs to be someone who is prepared to give me attention when I want it, but yet is experienced enough to give me space when I need it. I am spayed, have had all my shots and I’m ready to go. If you are that special person I just described, fill out an application and come on down for a visit. Believe me, we will both be glad that you did. Hope to see you soon hooman! Love, Bandit “The one absolutely unselfish friend that a man can have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him, the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous, is the dog.” Senator George G Vest Eulogy Of The Dog September 23rd, 1870

Story
Dogs are usually tested with other dogs their size, and we encourage meet-and-greets with your dog before adoption. Cat tests are available if requested, but they only check for clear aggression. Always be careful when introducing dogs to cats. Advice about dogs living with children is based on behavior like energy level and how the dog handles touch. Young children should never be left alone with dogs, and we cannot guarantee how any dog will behave with kids or other pets. Behavior seen in the shelter is just a snapshot and may change in a home. Dogs come from many backgrounds and may need training, time, and patience. Dogs should not be fed together unless you know they do not guard food. We also suggest learning about a dog's breed or mix to be sure it fits your family. Moving to a new home can be stressful for dogs. Use the Rule of 3 to help them adjust: First 3 days: Dogs may feel scared, tired, overexcited, or not want to eat. First 3 weeks: Dogs start learning routines and may show new behaviors. Keep things calm and avoid busy places. First 3 months: Dogs usually feel settled and more comfortable. Story
Hi folks! Beetlejuice here! No, don’t worry about saying my name three times; that’s another guy. I am a brown and white male Boxer/mixed breed dog who was left here at Golden Paws. I’m not sure how old I am, because my prior hooman left me out in the yard without telling anyone. I do love people very much and even though at 60 to 100 lbs when I’m full grown I’m a big boy, I imagine myself as a lap dog. But, if you don’t have an industrial strength lap, I’m just as happy laying beside your chair and getting pets and giving kisses. Although I love everyone once I get to know them, I’m very comfortable with women right from the start. I guess that’s because I’ve been around more women than men. So, what do you say? Fill out an application and come see me. Spend a little time with me so we can be Pals for the rest of our lives. I’m the dog you’ve always wanted. When you come here, just say my name three times (Got Ya). LOVE BEETLEJUICE
