Story
Manx | 8 years old | Boxer mix | 52 lbs | Perfect balance of calm and adventurous | Toronto area Meet Miraculous Manx! Manx was found by a police officer in northern Manitoba, starving and freezing. Thankfully she was sent to a rescuer in Winnipeg, and now she is in our care and absolutely blossoming. As her fosters put it, Manx is a survivor! She inspires her fosters with her deep resilience and eagerness to love. She has a real zest for life, and brings a positive and playful energy to any room she's in. We are so grateful to give this girl a second chance, and she's grateful to have one. Believe us: Every day you get to share with this sweet dog will be special. Here are some things to know about Manx: --She is a calm girl, but loves to play! She loves belly rubs, play wrestling, and her puzzle Kong. She especially loves to do bed zoomies! --She is a people person! Manx is comfortable around both men and women, and is a very social gal. She enjoys visitors because she thrives on attention and companionship. --She enjoys her walks, and walks well on leash. She doesn't pull and pays attention so that she can match her pace to yours. --She loves food, but will wait patiently to eat. --She's a quick learner and very food motivated. She is already working on sit, stay, and lie down, and would benefit from being with someone who wants to continue her training. --She is fully housetrained, and does not need to be crated when left alone. --She is not a barker, but loves to talk! When excited, she will "cheerfully chatter" to let you know she's having fun. --She thinks she is a little lap dog. No matter how small the available couch, she'll decide she's a perfect fit and cuddle on in! Manx is a very special dog, and everyone who has met her responds to her soulful and loving energy. She is a love sponge: she is making up for lost time by soaking up all the love and attention she can get and she gives it back to her people tenfold. Story
PLEASE NOTE ORION IS A DIRECT ADOPTION FROM MEXICO. ONCE ADOPTED HE WILL GO DIRECTLY TO ADOPTER AND IT IS RECOMMENDED HE BE ENROLLED IN TRAINING CLASSES. We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. This is now a requirement in our adoption process. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption. NAME: Orion Age: 4 months old Breed: Mexi-Mix Sex: Female Weight: We expect she will grow to medium size (35lb) Location: MEXICO (Everything, including transport is included in adoption fee) Adoption fee: $700.00 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Leash trained: Work in progress House trained: Work in progress Kids/Cats/Dogs: Yes, good with dogs, cats unknown, children 6+ Vetting: Up to date on all vaccination, sterilized, microchipped, 4dx tested: negative for Heart worm. Currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, dewormed and vet checked before arriving. Medical Issues: None Comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance (after initial vet visit) A member of our “planet” litter, Neptune is one of 9 puppies who were newborns in our sister rescue’s shelter SOS el Arca in Mexico. Her poor mama was chained to a house and left by her owner. She was very fearful of anyone that would come around her. A neighbour broke the chain but she would not move and wandered the area. All the other neighbours around her didn’t want her there and began to throw stones and beat her. The shelter was told about her and found out she was very pregnant. They needed to trap her immediately, or her babies would surely be killed. They tried many times but she was so scared she would not allow anyone around. Fortunately, she did deliver her babies and there was the opportunity to take the babies so she would follow. Orion is a sweet girl who deserves to be in a beautiful home. The shelter is overwhelmed with puppies right now and we need this beautiful baby to come to us to have a life she deserves not one living in a kennel for months and months. Orion is a happy and playful little girl but she is a typical puppy who is energetic and mischievous, however, with training (mandatory with proof of receipt) she will develop into a beautiful dog. Her potty training has begun and will require work from the adopter, crate training and routine will assist greatly with this. Her ideal home would be one with or without another dog, a fenced in backyard to expend her energy as she gets a little older. Respectful children and someone who works from home, at least part of the day is a must. If you feel you would be the right fit for Orion, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/ All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety. NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed. BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!
