Please contact Pet (information@pethelpersinc.org) for more information about this pet. Lovely Briar was found running in the Cheat Lake area of Morgantown, WV. After attempting to find her family, she was placed with her foster family. We believe her to be a boxer mix, about 1 year and half old, 42lbs. Briar is a very sweet girl who knows several commands. She is very smart and is learning other commands quickly. We are working on house training, She's not a huge fan of a crate but quiets down. Briar is happiest at your side and has a wiggly butt that just wont quit. She gets along ok with dogs but shows too much interest in cats, so would need a canine only home. She has been vetted: spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed and flea treated. She tested positive for lyme disease and anaplasmosis so and is doing a round of antibiotics. ADULT DOGS (over 1 year) $225.00, Includes spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, first set of routine yearly vaccines, heartworm/lyme test, two rounds of dewormer, one round of flea medication, and Microchip. KITTENS AND CATS $100.00, Includes spay or neuter, vaccine according to their age, two rounds of dewormer, one round of flea medication, felv/fiv test, and microchip. We do adopt out of state to approved applicants, if you are willing to drive to WV to pick up your pet. We do not fly or use transport companies. Our adoption fee is $150.00 for mixed breed puppies and adult dogs, $225.00 for full blooded puppies and adult dogs and $50.00 for cats and kittens. Regardless if the animal is a mixed breed or full blooded they are spayed/neutered prior to adoption IF they are old enough. If they are too young at the time of adoption, then it is your financial responsibility to spay/neuter the pet by the age of 6 months and you must provide proof for our files that it has been done. All of our pets are checked by a vet, given the shots appropriate for their age and any other treatment deemed necessary by the vet. All of our pets are adopted as indoor pets and are not be outdoors tied to a box 24/7. The pet you are adopting has been living in a home with a foster family. You are expected to take possession of the pet you are applying for within a few days of application approval. This will enable us to accept another pet into that home. Because we are a rescue, and believe that spaying and neutering is crucial in stopping the reproduction of unwanted puppies/kittens and massive amounts of animals dying daily in shelters across the country, we expect any animal already in your home to be spayed/neutered.
