URGENT - COURTESY POST My name is Lucy. I am 2 years old and a 60 pound shortstack. I'm a French Mastiff, Bulldog, Frenchy mix with a little American Staffordshire. I had 12 puppies who have all been adopted out. I was a good mom, but now its my turn. I am currently in a foster home, but my foster mommy has stage 4 cancer and I need a new foster or adopter ASAP. I have been to adoption events, but they can be a bit overwhelming for me and I wind up being overlooked as I'm glued to my 4 legged foster brother (see pic), which means he gets all the attention since he is so confident and outgoing. I love my people fiercely, and my ball almost as fiercely! I love to trust fall and hug you with my paws. I'm dog friendly with most balanced dogs, kid friendly with appropriate kids, and a legendary snugglebug! I'm incredibly sweet and snuggly, but on initial meeting with new people can be reserved. I am 2 years old and a 60 pound shortstack.  I'm a French Mastiff, Bulldog, Frenchy mix with a little American Staffordshire.  Lucy came to us very pregnant. After having 13 puppies and being a great mom she is ready for her own home and some spoiling. 13 pups that is a loyal and devoted girl right there!!  Lucy is very playful, likes kids and likes dogs. I love my people fiercely, and my ball almost as fiercely! I love to trust fall and hug you with my paws. I'm dog friendly with most balanced dogs, kid friendly with appropriate kids, and a legendary snugglebug! Are you looking for a cuddler?  Lucy is looking for someone to cuddle.   I'm incredibly sweet and snuggly, but on initial meeting with new people can be reserved. Nelly is a velveteen dog - so soft to the touch and such a deep and luxurious shade of gray it`s calming just to gaze at her. One of our longest residents, she is still shy with new people but the bashfulness passes. Spend a little time with her and bribe her with treats, and she will wholeheartedly accept your friendship.&#10 &#10 * 3 years old&#10* 76 lbs&#10* Very affectionate once bonded&#10 * Loves tug of war and fetch&#10 * Hilarious zoomies&#10 * Knows how to `leave it`&#10 * Gets along with other dogs &#10 * Housebroken&#10 * Food motivated and easy to train &#10 * Easy to handle&#10 * Probably no kids&#10 &#10 HERE`S WHAT HER FOSTER MOM SAID:&#10&#10 `I fell in love with Nelly. Of course I did! Because she made it so easy. It took her a second to open up, which I was expecting. But all she needed were some yummy treats and some love. And the love she gives back to you is quite endless. She`ll greet you with a big hug the moment you get home. She`ll rest her head on you once you both start to get tired. &#10 You might occasionally have to coax her to play, but she commits to the game once you do. Nelly loves tug of war, and in our small apartment she would still somehow make a game of fetch. &#10 She was quite timid and shy at first with new people [who came over], but once she gets a sense of their smell and that they are a person that you trust, she begins to open up to them, too. &#10 Nelly gives cute little kisses and provides you with a comfortable presence. &#10 I will say this girl has some sass in terms of where she wants to go when walking… she might sit and toss her head saying `no I want to go this way.` It`s pretty cute. And again, with patience and some coaxing she listens. &#10 She is house trained and will communicate when she needs to go outside. &#10 `Nelly is a wonderful dog. It might take a `second` for her to open up, but that is only because she believes she has to guard herself for quite some time. &#10 If you give her a chance, she will become your adventure buddy, your cuddle buddy, and your genuine and loyal friend for life.`&#10 &#10 Nelly has been at FAAS for more than a year and deserves a forever home of her own. Come meet this great girl any afternoon but Monday at 1590 Fortmann Way in Alameda!
