Meet Missy, a 4-year-old, 62lb Dogue de Bordeaux and Pit mix with a heart as big as her goofy smile.
Rescued from the South LA shelter back in January along with her nine puppies, Missy has blossomed into a fantastic companion and is patiently waiting for her furever people to come along for her.
Missy is the definition of a fun-loving doggo! Her foster family describes her as a fun-spirited girl who fills their days with joy and laughter with all her goofy antics. She's well-mannered, happy to lounge on her own bed, and politely respects couch rules (although she won't say no to an invitation!). A great listener and eager learner, Missy knows commands like "sit" and
"lay down," making her easy to train and eager to please.
She's also best buds with her foster brother, who's about her size, and they share the home well. When meeting new dogs, she'll need a confident handler since she's a big girl, and she does best with dogs who respect her space.
Missy is the perfect adventure buddy. She's happiest when exploring outdoors, especially on beach days, and she's always ready for a long walk or a calm stroll. And when it's time to relax, Missy is right there, a loyal friend who's ready to share all the cuddles you could want. Give her a few head scratches, and she'll be your best friend for life.
Missy would thrive in a home with a yard or even an apartment with plenty of exercise and stimulation. If you're looking for a blend of adventure and affection in a four-legged friend, Missy is the perfect match.
