Story
Whiskey is a bit shy, but once he feels comfortable and safe his personality shines. He enjoys playing with other kittens and toys. He is fine with gentle dogs, but has not experienced children in his foster home. Whiskey even enjoys the occasional play batting around in his water bowl. He has learned that pets from humans are really nice. He will thank you with loud purrs when you pet him, and also enjoys the warmth of sleeping with his humans at night. Whitney would be best in a calm household without young children or dogs, but would enjoy other feline friends.

Story
Charlie is a gentle and affectionate 6-year-old male long-haired cat with a beautiful black, gray, and brown coat. His laid-back demeanor makes him a cherished companion, always ready to curl up beside his favorite human for a cozy nap. Long-haired cats like Charlie often have calm and friendly personalities, enjoying the company of their families and adapting well to indoor life. To keep Charlie`s luxurious coat healthy and free from mats, regular grooming is essential. Daily brushing helps prevent tangles, distributes natural oils, and reduces hairballs. Using a slicker brush or comb with long teeth, gently work through his fur, starting from the top layer and moving down to the undercoat. Be cautious not to tug on any knots to avoid discomfort. Thank you for your interest in adopting your next pet from The Haven. Each dog adoption fee of $175 includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, rabies vaccine and tag (age 3 months and up), microchip, deworming, flea/tick/heartworm preventative, a free starter bag of Hills Science Diet, and coupons from area businesses. Please make sure you review the following as part of the adoption process:Adopter must be 18 years of age or older.A current government-issued photo ID (no student IDs) - such as a driver`s license, state ID, passport, military ID, etc.Have a Meet and Greet with the animal and our adoption coordinator (These can be a virtual Meet and Greet session due to COVID-19)Adopters are responsible for bringing their own travel carrier with them when picking up their new pet.The Haven accepts cash, check, debit/credit cards, or money orders.* For adopters of cats and dogs aged 6 months or less, or those with a medical condition preventing immediate spaying or neutering, The Haven requires a signed Spay/Neuter (S/N) Agreement and a $100 cash deposit, refundable upon completion of the spay/neuter procedure.

Story
This beautiful girl, Halo, was found outside as a stray with her almost grown kittens, Happy, Harmony and Halston. We got all but Halston (still trying) just before a bitter cold hard freeze. they are all beautiful. All but Happy are long haired. Happy is a lovebug, Harmony "poses" and loves to be petted and  Halo is "the regal queen".  If you are interested in adopting, please go to straylovefoundation.org and fill out an adoption application. Each of our rescues will be COMPLETELY vetted (which includes a combo test, worming, spay/neutered, vaccines, and micro-chipping). We do all in our power to assure our rescues are as healthy as possible and live a long happy life. There is always a chance that an animal we have rescued will have a genetic health issue (since they are rescues there is no way that we can know their family history) or one of our tests falls in that low percentage of false-negative category or a they contract a rare disease that we have no way of knowing about or they contract under your care. We cannot guarantee 100% that your pet will live the 15 to 20 years we hope for but with all that we do for them, the chances are incredibly strong that they will. Transportation fees, when applicable, vary by distance/expense. Home checks may be conducted. We are asking for an adoption donation of $248 for Halo. On most animals, a tax-deductible adoption donation of $148 is required upon approved adoption application. (This is a fraction of our vet expenses and you are always welcome to donate more.) HOWEVER, when we rescue a special breed, ridiculously adorable, or unusual color, we ask for a higher donation which helps towards our vet expenses. If you can't adopt, donate or sponsor, if you can't donate, volunteer! Tax-deductible donations can be made via PayPal using our email address: info@straylovefoundation.org. Or you can click on the donate button on our FB page (StrayLoveFoundation Magnolia Springs) or click on the donate button on our website home page at www.straylovefoundation.org. Story
Mallory is a gentle kitty on the shy side. She would rather hide than face the unknown. Give Mallory an opportunity to hide in a cat tunnel, a cat tree or simply a cardboard box. She welcomes petting and a massage on top of the head. Mallory's favorite toys are small fuzzy mice and balls. Her ideal home is one that is calm and small or start her out with a small space. Mallory gets along with other cats; therefore, it may be best if she has a cat buddy to chill with. She will tolerate cat-friendly dogs that don't chase her. Mallory is 1 year old with a long coat flaunting a tortoiseshell pattern with long white whiskers! Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter Pets (FJCASP) is a foster-based rescue for dogs and cats. All pets are in a home environment cared for by a foster person who provides temporary care until the pet can be placed in a permanent home.
