Story
We are looking to rehome our sweet female cat to a home where she can be the center of attention. She is incredibly affectionate with people, but after a year of trying, she has made it clear she cannot live with other dogs or cats. Because of the stress of a multi-pet household, she has begun acting out, but our vet assures us this is behavioral and will resolve once she is the only pet. She deserves to feel relaxed instead of hiding on her cat tower. She needs a home with no other pets and preferably no small children. We will provide all her supplies to help her transition!

Story
Meet Millie — A Gentle Heart Looking for a Quiet Home Millie is a sweet, affectionate girl with a gentle spirit and so much love to give. She thrives on being close to her people and is happiest when she can curl up nearby, enjoying cuddles and cozy blankets. Millie truly loves companionship and forms strong bonds with the people she trusts. Because Millie spent time living outside before coming into a home, she can sometimes be startled by loud noises or sudden movements. She does best in a calm environment where she can feel safe and take her time settling in. Once she becomes comfortable, her incredibly loving personality shines through and she shows just how devoted and affectionate she can be. Millie does experience anxiety around other animals, so she is looking for a home where she can be the only pet. In a quiet, patient household where she can have all the love and attention to herself, Millie will absolutely flourish. With her big heart, gentle nature, and love for snuggles, Millie is ready to find a home where she can feel safe, cherished, and finally relax with her favorite people and a warm blanket. If you're interested in meeting Millie, please contact Stephanie at 910-633-8936. Disclaimer: All pets posted and adopted through Neighborhood Pets are not members of Paws Humane Society. Meet Old Yeller — A Gentle Soul with a Curious Heart Old Yeller is a sweet, senior gentleman with long, beautiful fur and a heart full of love to give. He absolutely adores being petted and especially enjoys a good brushing session. With his fluffy coat, grooming time quickly turns into one of his favorite bonding moments with his people. This affectionate boy is the definition of a lap cat. Old Yeller loves nothing more than settling into a cozy chair with you, curling up close, and enjoying a quiet moment together. His calm presence and gentle nature make him a wonderful companion for relaxing afternoons and peaceful evenings. Even though he’s a bit older, Old Yeller still has a curious spirit. He enjoys exploring his surroundings and likes to investigate what’s going on around him, especially if it means getting a chance to safely explore the outdoors. While he’s naturally curious, he’s also cautious, taking his time to check things out at his own comfortable pace. Old Yeller is the perfect mix of affectionate, calm, and inquisitive. If you’re looking for a loving lap companion who still enjoys a little adventure and plenty of brushing, Old Yeller would be thrilled to spend his golden years by your side.
