Story
Duke the 5-year-old retired Tom cat is ready to start a new chapter of his life with a family of his own. He spent most of his life outside as the neighborhood Tom cat by the north Anchorage Costco. Caring neighbors were letting him come inside to warm up and eat as he pleased. One day he showed up to one of these houses with a terrible injury and we became involved. Poor Duke had a bad hernia that had been cut open. He was taken to the vet immediately and had surgery to get him better. It’s taken a while for the pain to subside and he doesn’t like when anyone touches around that area. Despite his rough past, Duke is doing great learning how to become a family cat again. In his foster home, he has discovered that he loves to play! His favorite toys are his squeaky mouse and catnip fish. If you would want to play with him, that could be fun. But he doesn't require entertainment. He’s great at doing his own thing, but will come running when called. And he does have a special weakness for wet food; give him some and he will be your best friend. He enjoys having other cats around, but is not a fan of dogs. He’s very kind towards the toddler in his foster home and loving to the adults. Duke has lived most of his life outside and still wants to be able to go out in nice weather and enjoy the lovely natural world. But having a real home and family where he has some personal space and have outside too would be his ultimate dream. He needs someone who can be patient with him while he’s still learning his new routine and trusting that you will love him forever. If your interested in this big beautiful boy, please call 907-980-8898 He's in Wasilla.

Story
Daisy Mae is the sweetest girl! She is shy at first but as soon as she is comfortable with her people, she is the biggest cuddle bug! She runs to you when her name is called but loves to have little hiding places when she wants some alone time. If she’s not chirping for pets, she’s batting her toy around or exploring the world at her own pace. Being in a calm household is a must for Daisy. She doesn’t like loud noises. She would love a home with a mellow and friendly cat or dog, but would thrive on her own if you’re a homebody. She willl need a place to go outside with her family when she wants to to check out the beautiful Alaska summer. Daisy Mae is about 6 years old and ready to be someone's most special blue-eyed sweetheart. In Anchorage. Call 907 980-8898

Story
Introducing Jasmine and Macey! A pair of beautiful gray calico sisters about a year old. They were rescued from the cold weather this winter and brought inside to begin their adoption journey. Jasmine has beautiful green eyes and a white face. She is an attention queen. She loves being pet and snuggling up next to you while she purrs affectionately. Her sister Macey is a bit more timid and has been coming out of her shell more and more each day. She has the cutest face and golden eyes constantly watching you. She loves being part of the action and accepting attention when she's ready The two are inseparable. They love to cuddle together and play constantly whenever they are not taking naps or watching out the window. They cannot wait for the snow to melt and have somewhere safe to go outside and explore. We are not sure how they would do with dogs since their current foster family does not have any other pets. We do know that Macey will need a calm and patient family to welcome her and hopefully her sister too, into their home. She will need a little extra time to get comfortable and settled in. She still doesn't like being picked up but loves to rub up against your legs and let you know she loves you. Her sister, Jasmine, is ready for as much love and attention you throw at her. They are the perfect cat duo to join your family. They will greet you at the door when you come home and remind you everyday how much they love you. If you are a family of loving humans who would love a pair of sweet calico girls to brighten up your life, please give us a call 907 980-8898. They are in Anchorage.

Story
Bud is a long haired, young golden boy about a year old. He came from a very filthy hoarding situation where he mostly avoided people. He was very shy at first, but now in a normal loving home, he is outgoing and having a great time. He has bloomed. Bud does great with other cats and nice dogs, and with his people, he will be his human's beloved, devoted boy. Kindness and understanding work their magic. Bud is super affectionate, playful, and full of joy. He loves having a clean home and loving people. Like any normal cat, he might take a minute to adjust, but then he's all in for being you best cuddle boy ever! He does love other friendly cats and will need a friend in his new home. He will also need a safe place to go outside with his family after he is bonded with home and family. In Wasilla. Story
Does your super cat need a sidekick? Or your Batman need a Robin? Skye is here to answer the call! Skye is a gorgeous, long-haired boy about 8 months old with Siamese markings rescued from a large colony. He is looking for action and companionship from another friendly cat or two. Skye is a bit quirky. He is quite shy when humans are around and needs some friendly, feline role models to show him how to interact with humans. Right now his motto towards humans is “look, don’t touch.” At night when the humans go to sleep, his playful nature comes out. He drags his toys and “treasures” back to the safety of his room and has a great time. As a skitterish boy, Skye will need a mellow environment without dogs or young children. Other cats in the household are a must. He will also need a safe outdoor space to explore when he is comfortable. He is in Eagle River. Call 720-563-7141

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Beau and Binks are a bonded pair and should be adopted together. Binks is shy and is often comforted by Beau and Beau enjoying snuggling with Bink in their down time! Previous owners mentioned that they are not typically as accepting towards other animals. Neither kitty has been mean to other animals but why prefer to keep to themselves! Beau and Bink would be happiest in a mellow home. They have done well with meeting new people, but can be standoffish towards small children. Beau is more outgoing and despite being the older one he is more active! You may notice him scratching on their room door or hitting toys out from underneath to get your attention. He is typically at your feet asking to be petted. Binks is shy and mellow. He is usually perched in the sun or curled up in their bed! He also will hit toys out from under the cat door, but he is most comfortable with just playing with Beau. Binks has a sensitive soul and appreciates being talked to softly and petted gently. We do anticipate Binks feeling much more comfortable in a home!

Flint and Mokie are the most purrfect kitties you will ever meet! They are so much fun to be with and are bond to put a smile on your face. Flint and Mockie are a bonded pair and should be adopted together! They do everything together and would be sad to be split up. Flint and Mokie are incredibly social. They love making new friends and are always so so happy when someone comes to say hi to them! Flint and Mokie are playful and will appreciate having many cat toys at their disposal. Both cats do well with handling and are friendly towards other animals. They are currently neighbors with Beau and Binks and can be seen hanging out with them from time to time! Slow introductions to new animals should be taken slowly - it will be important for Flint and Mokie to have their own space while adapting to their new home! Flint and a Mokie have stolen many hearts and we want nothing more than for them to find their forever home.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Zora often appears to be a shy boy. He tends to keep to himself and does not demand attention like some of the other cats do. He is very sweet and loving though! Zora arrived to the shelter as a stray and had some little battle wounds. He has come a long way since the first day he was here! Zora is a mellow kitty that would appreciate plenty of nooks and crannies to curl up in. When he is approached calmly he tends to come out to say hi. He loves butt scratches! Zora will be happiest in a calmer home. It is unknown if he has lived with other animals, but we do suspect that rambunctious dogs may stress him out. If Zora sounds like he would be the purrfect guy for you we encourage you to come and meet him!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Token has been a shy kitty who keeps to him self. He loves happy cozy beds to curl up in and will never say no to boxes or paper bags! Token originally arrived to the shelter with another cat and may enjoy having a nice friend in his new home. A chill, friendly cat could also potentially help him feel more comfortable and open up more! Token will thrive best in a calm household. Small children and rambunctious dogs may overwhelm him. Please keep in mind that Token will need time to adapt to his new home and is asking for grace while doing so. We want nothing more than to set Token up for success! If your home sounds like it would be a good fit for Token we would love for you to come by and meet him.
