Story
Fluffy is a big guy who may seem shy at first. He's actually a total softy and loves affection as soon as he feels safe with you. He's known for being a bit of a couch potato. Fluffy prefers the company of people above all. He has cohabitated successfully with female cats but prefers to be the only male cat in the household. He would also be perfectly content as your solo feline friend. Fluffy arrived to the shelter overweight with some matts in his fur. He would be very grateful for a loving adopter who will help him maintain a healthy weight and care for his gorgeous coat with frequent brushing. Luckily, being pet and brushed is one of his favourite activities!Sound like the cat for you? Visit the shelter today and give this handsome man the second chance he deserves! Story
Meet Sadie 💛 Sadie is a 16-year-old sweet senior kitty with a big heart and a charming personality. I rescued her from a farm when she was just 5 weeks old, and she was born around May 2009. She has been deeply loved her entire life and is now looking for a calm, caring home to enjoy her golden years. Despite her age, Sadie is healthy, lively, and still full of affection. She loves to cuddle and will happily spend time curled up with you. One of her endearing quirks is that she drools a little when she’s especially content. She is fully litter trained, free-feeds, and has an easygoing routine. Sadie does very well around other cats and dogs and has no issues sharing her space. This decision is being made with a heavy heart due to pregnancy health concerns, and my hope is to find Sadie a safe, gentle home where she will continue to be loved and cherished.

Story
Silky soft little Smudge has come a long way from the scared baby she was when she came into BARS care. She has learned that getting petted is actually the best thing ever! She is definitely a tripping hazard, as she loves to press herself against your legs while you`re trying to walk. Smudge gets on well with other cats, doing her best to make friends. She will tolerate being picked up though prefers to have four paws on the ground. This curious and silly sweetie is sure to brighten your home and your life!

Story
Meet Houdini, a curious and shy kitten residing in a foster home with 3 other sibling. He is seeking a special forever home or foster care. Houdini`s inquisitive nature often leads him to explore his surroundings quietly, yet he retreats to his safe corners when unsure. Houdini is a beautiful grey medium hair kitten with a huge poufy tail. His ideal home would be one with patience and understanding of his need for a gentle approach to bonding. He loves to play with string toys. When one of his siblings get scared it starts a herd mentality fear fest so being a single cat or with one other calm friendly cat might make all the difference in this little mans life. He is starting to enjoy being petted. Adopting Houdini means giving him a chance to flourish in a loving environment where his curiosity can be nurtured and his shyness embraced and overcome. I believe with patience he would make a nice pet. I am able to pet him but he gets very afraid if try to pick him up. Again, separating him from the other 3 scaredy cats might be all he needs.
