Story
Roxie is very sweet and affectionate. She will follow you around, cuddle up in your lap, and is happy to receive pets any and all the time (including belly rubs!) She is also very curious and playful, and will play as long as you have the energy for. It may take her a few minutes to get used to you, but as soon as she warms up she will consider you a friend for life. I am positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus), which means I can only live with other FeLV+ kitties, dogs, or non-cat animals. FeLV is species-specific and only contagious to other cats. FeLV is similar to being immunocompromised in humans and doesn't prevent me from living a happy, healthy life! Because of my diagnosis, my adoption fee is waived!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi,  I’m Sage, I am one of the worlds best cuddlers if I do say so myself.   I think I love rubbing my face against yours the most, but also like curling up in a lap and getting petted anywhere you want.  My fur is silky soft so you will enjoy running your hand through my coat as much I enjoy it.  Feather toys on a string, is my favorite playtime activity but I also like lounging and watching the world on the screend in porch. To schedule a meet/greet with this pawsome kitty, we recommend that you complete a Pre-Adoption Applicationwhich is available here:   https://www.shelteringhands.org/adoptionapplication.  For additional information, email our Adoptions Team at adoptions@shelteringhands.org.  Once applications are approved the Adoptions Team will coordinate the best way for you to get your new furry family member and bring them home. Story
Buvies update... she was picked up this morning at OCAS by her fosters and she is already showing huge improvement. This is exactly what we expected to see from her. Every day she spent in the shelter was taking a toll on her and she would not have made it out, without intervention. The group from Urgent Cats of Central Florida do a great job promoting these cases and they are the reason we even knew Buvies needed help. Once she is decompressed, Buvies has a long term foster offer from Brooke (one of our beloved adoptive families that adopted Blossom and Starshine). A small army of amazing people had pledged for her rescue and we have had about $90 donated for her through PayPal, today. She was pulled "as is" so she wouldn't have to wait for spay to leave... the pledges will help a great deal towards her veterinary expenses! Thank you everyone! Buvies truly has a village around her and she is already feeling the love!! Woot woot! ##1992641##
