Story
dob 9/11/19 Simba's family asked TC Paw for help when she had litter box issues, which she'd never had in the past, after a new baby arrived. The vet found no medical reason and suggested that anxiety, possibly because of changes the new baby brought, could be the problem. In her TC Paw foster home, Simba hasn't had litterbox issues or shown anxiety. This beautiful girl is timid but friendly once she knows you. She likes a safe hiding spot, like under a bed or dresser or in a cubbbyhole with a blanket over it, until she feels comfortable in her environment. Simba comes when her foster mom enters the room or calls to her, and she sleeps on the bed with her foster. She gets along with kids and other cats. She likes catnip, scratching posts, wand toys, and window gazing. Frequent brushing will keep her long hair smooth. We encourage her new family to be aware that Simba needs time to adjust to changes. A calming product like Comfort Zone, which her foster used for a while, may help. Simba's foster says, "I think Simba will be a wonderful friend to anybody willing to love and understand her."  If you are interested in adopting this TC Paw cat or would like to set up a meet-and-greet, please complete the  Pre-adoption Application .   April 14, 2024, 8:24 pm

Story
Jewel was trapped in a TNR project on a homeowner's property. She was so friendly that the homeowner asked for her to be adopted rather than returned to the colony. Her TC Paw foster family says she is just beautiful and fluffy and sweet. She's a little timid, but always gentle, never aggressive or mean. To invite being petted, she'll roll with her belly in the air. Aggressive handling might scare a shy girl like Jewel, but she likes to be brushed, petted, and scratched on her face. She is good around kids and other cats. She hasn't been around dogs in her foster home.  She's a beauty. Story
Hello, I'm Thistle! I'm a sweet and friendly soul, always ready to share my warmth with you. I've been told I'm quite the cuddle expert, you see. I love curling up in a cozy lap, purring softly as I bask in the affectionate strokes of a kind hand. I make the best biscuits and give head bumps. I've made many friends here, both humans and fellow felines, but I dream of a place to call my own. A place filled with love, soft blankets, and maybe some tasty treats. If you're looking for a companion who's ready to give and receive love, I'm your cat!

Story
Hello there, I'm Bella. I found myself at the shelter due to no fault of my own. My longtime owner sadly passed away and I couldn't stay with their family. I might seem a little reserved at first, but once I get to know you, you'll see I'm a faithful friend. I enjoy a peaceful environment where I can relax and observe my surroundings. I'm not one for causing a fuss or being the center of attention. I like to take things slow, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate a good play session now and then. I'm a cat who appreciates loyalty and consistency. I'd love to find a home where I can be a quiet companion, offering my unwavering loyalty in return. If you're looking for a calm and steadfast friend, I might just be the cat for you.

Story
Thank you for checking out my profile, I am Uno!Maybe I am the "one" you've been looking for! ;) A kind Samaritan found me trapped between her window and screen, scooped me up and brought me to the safety of CHS. When I arrived, I was horribly sick and in incredible pain due to my eye. I was a spicy little fluffy kitten who didn't understand where I was or why I felt so poorly :( CHS jumped into action, removed my eye, gave me the medications I needed to feel better, and I went home with a staff member to heal and work on my relationship with humans. After a small period to decompress in a home and realize I was safe, I opened up. I am the most playful and silly little love bug! I am still nervous at times, but making huge improvements daily.I would benefit greatly from having a kitty sibling, my confidence soared after meeting my foster feline friends. I also make friends with calm cat-savvy dogs! When I do go into a home, be prepared for me to hide in my "safe place" for the first couple weeks, potentially months. I promise I will gain confidence, but it takes me time to adjust to transitions. I am a very special little girl, looking for an equally special home to call my own. I would prefer a calm, more mature household to help me settle in best.
