Story
Meet our shy girl, Ramona! This beautiful girl came in with her sister, Beezus, when they were tiny kittens. They were very scared and underweight when they arrived, but they have come so far! Ramona is the shy one from the two, as she tends to be quite independent. She loves to lay in our hide-away beds, but with a little coaxing, she loves to come out for cuddles! Every once in awhile well see her zooming around and playing with the others. As she gets more comfortable by the day, Ramona would still like to be adopted out with her sister. Ramona would like a more quiet home because she is still quite skiddish when it comes to loud things, but with a little time and effort, she could become the perfect friend for you!

Story
***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org*** Hi I'm Marcello!  Yep, pretty cool name for a pretty cool dude huh?  I was on Facebook because someone wanted to give me away to anyone, so a nice lady said she would take me but the other cats in her house said no-way mom and wouldn't let me hang out with them so I had to stay in a room separated from everyone and that made me cry...a lot!  That made the little boy in the house sad so the lady called a friend, who called a friend, who called the ECAS and here I am!  I'm a young'in and a little bit crazy still but man am I a ton of fun.  And don't forget that I'm stunning too!  I was recently neutered....yikes!  I'm up to date on vaccinations, FeLV/FIV negative and microchipped.  So all said and done, I'm ready to go!!!!!  As always adoption fees from cats and kittens is free will to approved applicants and I think I'm priceless! June 30, 2025, 11:12 pm

Story
Sweet-faced Smuckers is part of a whole family of large fluffy cats with short faces and long tails. They all share too many genes, some of which may be Persian. We don’t know exactly how Smuckers is related to any particular family member. Is Tiptree his brother/father/son/nephew/cousin? We know Cutie is not his mom, but is she his sister, half-sister, daughter or niece? And/or? Fortunately, everyone in the family is now altered, so no need to try to sort out the genetic relationships of any more potential offspring! Really, it doesn’t matter. Smuckers arrived dirty, matted, and scared, but he has turned out cuddly and playful. He likes treats and toys and attention. He needs some help with maintaining his long fluffy tail, but honestly, can you resist that floof? We estimate this pretty boy was born about March/April of 2023. Smuckers is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. As always, cat/kitten adoptions are free will donation to approved applicants. ****The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org****June 28, 2025, 8:46 pm

Story
Would you like a house lion? Maybe two or three? We have a whole family of large fluffy cats with short faces and long tails. They all share too many genes, some of which may be Persian, and they are all looking for homes. Dundee, Seville, and Tang are all giant orange boys who spend most of their time dozing or hoping for treats. They are solid, not fat, despite rarely moving around. They do like toys, particularly ones you can use to play with them, but mostly just want to sprawl somewhere comfy and occasionally crack an eye open or yawn. Dundee needs the most help with his fur as it seems to tangle more than others. He complains a lot about baths or combing but is generally gentle. Seville is currently the most interested in approaching humans, and treats a visiting puppy with total indifference. Tang is regrowing a layer of almost buff outer fluff, likes toys, tolerates being picked up, but is a bit shy. These big boys are neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. As always, cat/kitten adoptions are free will donation to approved applicants. ****The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org**** June 29, 2025, 10:23 pm
