Zeke was rescued from a kill shelter where his fate was about to be sealed. He is a loving cat with lots of affection to give. He's good with other cats but requires slow introductions. He's not a fan of dogs but is not aggressive. For Pet's Sake Rescue is a Mississippi based rescue. All animals are currently in MS. Mississippi is overpopulated with too many animals, not enough adopters, and many high kill shelters. For Pet's Sake Rescue saves each animal from a different background.  ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations.We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible.*** For Pet's Sake Rescue transports animals to other states for better adoption potential. Our goal is to keep animals alive and out of kennels into their forever homes as quickly as possible. Each animal is quarantined and vetted during their time in our care. Once we review your application and check your vet reference, we will contact you to proceed. If both parties agree to the adoption, we will send you an Adoption Contract with an invoice. Once the invoice is paid, your pet is "on hold" for you to pick up or we can transport the pet to a designated location closer to you via transport. Transports are arranged for specific dates. We will discuss these dates and locations with you during the initial phone call.  We are currently unable to adopt pets to MA and RI residents. Mallory is a gentle kitty on the shy side. She would rather hide than face the unknown. Give Mallory an opportunity to hide in a cat tunnel, a cat tree or simply a cardboard box. She welcomes petting and a massage on top of the head. Mallory's favorite toys are small fuzzy mice and balls. Her ideal home is one that is calm and small or start her out with a small space. Mallory gets along with other cats; therefore, it may be best if she has a cat buddy to chill with. She will tolerate cat-friendly dogs that don't chase her. Mallory is 1 year old with a long coat flaunting a tortoiseshell pattern with long white whiskers! Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter Pets (FJCASP) is a foster-based rescue for dogs and cats.
