Story
Meet July: A Quiet Summer BreezeJuly is a beautiful six-month-old brown tabby who is as gentle and soft as a summer evening. While she may start off a bit shy and skittish-much like the way a deer pauses in the woods-her heart is full of quiet warmth just waiting to be discovered.Because she is a bit more sensitive than your average kitten, July is looking for a patient soul who understands that the best things in life often take a little time to bloom. Once she feels secure, her medium-length fur and sweet nature make her the ultimate companion for quiet moments and gentle head scratches. She is already spayed and ready to trade her nervous energy for the comfort of a steady, loving hand. If you have a peaceful home and a heart big enough for a wallflower, July is ready to settle in and find her sunshine with you. Primary Color: Brown Tabby Weight: 7.1875 Age: 2yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
Hi, my name is Reece! I am a happy-go-lucky girl that loves everybody - even the dog! My human mom is moving and can't take me with her. She really loves me and wants me to have a good life. SCC is helping us find that special home. So, let me tell you about myself. I am about 4 years old. I do really well with kids of all ages. I love attention and I love to be brushed. I live with a dog and cat and I get along with everybody. Of course, slow introductions are always great. I have lived an indoor only life and that suits me just fine. I will be brought current on my RCP vaccine and microchipped as a part of the adoption process. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.February 11, 2026, 1:21 am

Story
Nyx is a beautiful one-year-old female with a stunning long black coat - fittingly named after the Greek goddess and personification of night. She’s as lovely inside as she is outside. Nyx is very friendly and affectionate and won’t hesitate to come over to ask for some love and pets. She’s easygoing, confident, and adapts well to new situations. She was found as a stray on someone’s patio, but unfortunately they weren’t able to take her in - so now Nyx is looking for a forever home. She does well with other cats and should be fine with respectful children. While her experience with dogs is unknown, her laid-back personality suggests she may adjust with a proper introduction. Nyx has been spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and tested negative for FeLV/FIV—she’s healthy and ready to go home. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who will happily seek out your attention, Nyx may be the perfect match. Please fill out an application for her at www.sccpets.com.If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.February 13, 2026, 8:54 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Lucy and my brother, CH - Chris and I are looking for a very special person. You see, our human mom took us off the streets as feral cats when we were really young - as cats go, but probably as feral cats go, really too late to 'flip us', to be regular house cats. She really loves us! But time, of course, is the demon of our fate. You see, she went into assisted living and was unable to take us with her. My brother Chris, he is really my protector - kind of like my emotional support animal (and I am his). He is way more outgoing than I am, so, if you are looking for a 24/7 lap cat, he would be the one, but you see, we are a package deal. He is my voice. Because we are ramping down on 12 years old, SCC got us a senior blood panel and in the scheme of things, we are doing alright. Our foster person tricked me into getting into a carrier - - not cool, but I got a sedated shave of my belly, and my 3 yr rabies shot during that 'adventure' - - - So, let me tell you about me. I am a petite girl (most of what you see in my pictures is fluff) I am under 8 pounds. I am a timid girl My brother is a bit more outgoing and he is my mighty protector. As you can see from our pics, we are very bonded and are often perched together by the window, watching the world go by. We also like to play with catnip mice inside crinkly, kitty tunnels. Our foster has a camera in the room and watches us play. We would be best in a quiet home environment, retirees that live a quiet life, and are home more. If friends or family do come to visit, they might not see us, but you should know that we will be waiting for your company to leave so that we can come out. As you might assume, kids are a bit noisy for us, and even though we had a dog in our lives before, we can do without that. We are current on our vaccines and microchipped and are very good with our litterbox. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.February 15, 2025, 2:14 pm
