Story
At a little over a year, Cogsworth is a sweet boy who enjoys his playtime. He came into the shelter with matted fur, which in turn required a nice refreshing haircut. Cogsworth doesn't mind being held, but he does get a little tense while in your arms. He still has a slight fear/shyness since arriving at the shelter. He came in with lots of other friends and still has a slight anxiety when put in front of other cats' kennels. He doesn't get aggressive and doesn't hiss- his body just tenses up to show he's not comfortable. He enjoys human interactions and will "make biscuits" to show his contentment.

Story
Meet Peaches! Believe it or not, this long-haired beauty was brought to ICHS as a stray. Peaches was not a big fan of the shelter life when she first came in, but who can blame her? Going from having all of the outdoors to being in a cage is a huge change! However, Peaches has gotten a lot better at adjusting to change as she has experienced a lot since coming into the shelter. After she finally got more adjusted to being here at ICHS, our shelter staff noticed some things were off with Peaches. She was excessively eating and drinking and was urinating more than normal. After being taken to the vet, it was discovered that Peaches is diabetic and her blood glucose level was high. Peaches immediately started receiving insulin injections and switched to diabetic-friendly cat food (we are using Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets Diabetic Management). Since starting this journey, Peaches' blood glucose level has dropped significantly and continues to get better! Because of her condition, Peaches will need to go to a home with someone who will be able to fully manage and keep up with her disease. This will include giving her, her insulin shot every 12 hours, taking her for frequent vet visits, providing her with diabetic management food, etc. So, we would prefer an adopter who has experience with diabetic cats or other diseases that require similar maintenance for Peaches. All of this care is worth it with a cat like Peaches! Since Peaches has been starting to feel better, we have really gotten to see her true personality. Peaches is a lot more cuddly than we ever knew! She loves receiving ALL the pets, being held, and even cuddling up for a nap with our shelter staff. She sure would love to snuggle up in your bed with you! No matter where you go or what you're doing, Peaches is sure to be laying nearby keeping you company. When she isn't being a love bug, Peaches enjoys exploring and gazing out the window. She seems to think that the cars driving past is actually a game for her. Overall, Peaches is a joy to be around. She is filled with personality and is a very loyal friend who loves to snuggle. While Peaches knows that her condition makes it harder to get adopted, she never loses hope that she will find her very own fur-ever family. If you know that you would be able to manage Peaches' diabetes and are ready to make a new best friend, consider putting in an adoption application for Peaches today! Story
Meet Ranger! Ranger was brought to ICHS as a stray along with his siblings. Now Ranger is the only one of his siblings who hasn't found a fur-ever home! Ranger is a super sweet boy, but he can be a little timid at first. He has been learning through being in our colony room and watching the other cats that new people aren't so scary! So, with just a little bit of patience, this beautiful boy is sure to come around. Ranger loves the other cats in our colony room and would definitely love having a fur-sibling. Ranger's current best friends are Spaghetti and Dakota. Ranger has seen many of his friends get adopted and would love to have a best friend for LIFE! So, if you and you're cat are looking for another friend to add to your crew consider putting in an adoption application for our friendly feline, Ranger, today! Story
Meet Ricotta! Ricotta was brought to ICHS along with a few other cats after the person who was taking care of them passed away. Ricotta and her friends came to us spayed, neutered, and with tipped ears. So, due to that and them being under-socialized, we can assume that these guys were someone's outside cats. That being said these cats are making progress every day! Ricotta has proven to be the most stubborn to change and spicy out of all of her friends. She does not enjoy the company of our shelter staff just yet. However, our staff refuse to give up on her and are working hard to help socialize this gorgeous girl. Who can blame her for being upset, her whole life changed when she was brought to us! So, if you have a lot of patience and are looking for a loyal friend, consider putting in an adoption application for our spicy queen, Ricotta. Primary Color: Torbie Age: 2yrs 0mths 3wks

Story
Hi guys, Marigold here! I have been at the shelter for more than a year now. My medical needs tend to shoo people away but this is not the ideal environment for me to live the rest of my life. I need a low-traffic home and a fluffy bed to call my own! I am a gorgeous 3 year old girl who ended up at the shelter as a stray. I am a very sweet girl, but I will need a dedicated home that will take care of me. Not long after coming in, I began having seizures. I was started on medication, but it took some time for the staff here at the shelter to get me leveled out. I am on two different medications that I take twice a day. This medication is relatively inexpensive but MUST be continued. I take my meds with no problem too! I do enjoy the company of other cats, but it would likely be best if there were no young children in the home as I can be a bit jumpy and do not like to be picked up. I would prefer a home without dogs but I do enjoy the company of other laid back cats. If you think you may be the right home for me, please submit an application for me today.

Story
EXPERIENCED ADOPTERS ONLYHi, I'm Bindi! I'm a 3 year old girl who was brought in through no fault of my own. I've had some trouble adjusting here at the shelter, but staff say they know there's a sweet girl under this tough exterior. I would do best in a home without children due to my temperamental personality. I'm front declawed, so the only way I have to defend myself is to bite. I would love to co-exist with a nice family in a real home of my own! I would be a very pretty piece of artwork for you to look at roaming around your home. I definitely need attention on my terms. I come to the people for a couple pets and I am set for the rest of the day. I can not live in a home with dogs or other cats. My ideal home would be a calmer, quiet home where I can take the time I need to adjust and acclimate with a patient family who can help me through. I prefer to do things on my own terms, so my future family will need to be understanding of that. Once I have adjusted to a new human, I love to be scratched under the chin and to play toys. I will need visits scheduled and with serious adopters only. If you think you could be the home to allow me to grow and adjust, please ask staff about me and submit an application for me today!

Story
Hello, my name is Alice I am more than ready to find my new home. I came into the shelter because I was living with 59 other cats in a not so good situation. After getting some medial treatment and a pretty new haircut... I am feeling way better. I love to be around my brother and would really benefit from having another cat in the home. I am only about 6 months old. I love to be around other cats but will not be able to live with dogs. I should do fine with children, but I am a little nervous at first. I am a professional biscuit maker and love to get love! If you are ready to give me the life I deserve, please fill out an application today!
