Meet Foxie Meet Foxie – Your Chatty, Cuddly Companion! Foxie is a gorgeous long-haired black and white beauty, born in January 2016. She’s a social butterfly who loves to chat and soak up all the attention she can get! If you’re looking for a cat who will keep you company with sweet meows and affectionate headbutts, Foxie is your girl. She enjoys playing with interactive toys, indulging in a little wet food (but not too much), and snuggling up on the couch—especially if you’re paying attention to her! At bedtime, she’s happy to curl up with her foster mom, as long as the bed isn’t too crowded. Foxie is okay with one or two other cats but would really prefer to be your one-and-only or have just a quiet feline companion. She hasn’t been around dogs in her current foster home, but she previously lived with some and did okay with them. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and talkative kitty to brighten your home, Foxie might be the perfect match! Ready to meet Foxie? Contact us today to learn more about adopting her! Story
A letter describing PoundCake to potential adopters from our Founder and shelter director: I stopped at the shelter this morning as I often do every morning before work. I fed Catalina and the other kittens. Grabbed a hoodie and went to leave. PoundCake meowed. That old raspy meow he does and tried to chase me down. He wanted petted. I stopped and kneeled down and pet him. Then I picked him up and he purred like there was literally no tomorrow. I told him he was the bestest boy there ever could be. I knew that I had to leave then or I was never making it out the door. I turned quick and ran and he followed me as fast as his pudgy legs could carry sir pounder……. He only made it halfway up the stairs as I turned to shut the door. The look on his face “Don’t leave me…….” Crushed my soul this morning. And I was late for work. PoundCake isn’t old. He just acts it. He is around five years old. Has great teeth! He was pulled from a colony trapping where he fathered many many children before volunteers got the colony under control. It was below freezing when I said I would give him a try to be adopted out here. One speck of kindness and he is your friend for life. He bonds almost instantly, and with each passing day the heart grows fonder. He was something to someone once and that someone was his absolute everything that he lived and existed for. Ties severed because of some bad behavior and placement outside…. I am sure of it. Fast forward to now, rescued and vetted and slowly stealing my heart too. I hold him longer than I should. Special cats like Poundcake draw lines in the sand. Most cats when adopted are just happy they are with awesome humans and grow to love them day after day. With PoundCake if I hold him too much and cross that line, he will hate me when he is adopted. He will love his new people for sure, but will hate me for letting him go. Like he wasted his love twice in life and starting over again. So whomever adopts him absolutely SHOULD cross that line of no turning back, but never ever break his heart because he now carries a piece of mine along with his.

Meet Willard – The Gentle Giant with a Heart of Gold! Willard is an 8-ish-year-old Domestic Longhair with a stunning brown tabby and white coat, soulful green eyes, and a personality as big as his paws! Found as a stray, he’s settled into indoor life with grace and charm — and is more than ready to find his forever home. This handsome boy is incredibly friendly and social. He gets along beautifully with dogs, other cats, and kids, making him a perfect fit for just about any loving household. Willard loves attention and isn’t shy about asking for it — he’ll roll over and offer his belly like a dog, hoping for rubs and affection. He’s especially fond of being brushed, which is important since his luxurious coat needs regular grooming to keep it tangle-free. With just a bit of help, he stays looking and feeling his best — and he’ll thank you with purrs and headbutts. If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate, and truly charming companion, Willard is your guy. He’s ready to trade his stray days for a cozy bed, gentle brushes, and a family to adore him. Midgie came to us as an owner surrender. She depicted this poor scared cat in a negative light and was frustrated with her as a pet. It took us a while to build her confidence back up and we did so just by treating her like the lady she is truly is. Now she is stunning both inside and out and we can't wait for her to be an amazing companion to her new forever human.

Fetty was a barn cat, living most of her first years outside. She had an eye injury early on which affects her vision in one eye. She chitters and mews for her dinner, and will rub up against you. She doesn't like to be picked up or petted. She's fearless and beautiful. ##1939463##

Story
Meet Evander, a gentle, sweet boy with beautiful long fur. He loves being brushed, and his soft purrs will melt your heart. Despite his rough start in a hoarding situation, Evander has blossomed into a loving companion. At first, he might be a bit shy, but once he warms up, Evander reveals his affectionate nature. He gets along famously with dogs, cats, and kids, making him a perfect addition to a family with multiple pets or a household with children. Evander's unique feature is his collared ear, a result of untreated ear infections prior to his rescue. Fortunately, he's now healthy and free of infections. But our vet recommends regular check-ups to monitor his ear health because his collared ear makes him more prone to infections due to lack of oxygen to the ear. The more comfortable Evander gets, the more laid back he becomes and takes everything in stride. With patience and love, he'll become your buddy, showering you with affection and snuggles. Are you ready to give Evander a forever home where he can feel safe and loved? Apply to adopt this charming boy today and discover the joy of having a gentle friend by your side! He is around 4 years old. Adoption application can be found here-https://airtable.com/shrGSvgMTS3wUQn2H
