Issue d’un sauvetage, elle a un tempérament indépendant et réservé et a surtout besoin de calme, de patience et de stabilité. Gertrude a été abandonnée par sa propriétaire. Nous assurons actuellement sa garde, mais notre situation ne nous permet malheureusement plus de continuer à nous en occuper dans de bonnes conditions. Gertrude n’est pas une chatte très démonstrative ni facile à manipuler. Elle préfère garder ses distances, ne se laisse pratiquement pas prendre dans les bras et accepte difficilement le brossage ou les manipulations prolongées. Lorsqu’elle se sent contrainte ou stressée, elle peut réagir par des griffures ou des morsures. Son pelage présente actuellement quelques amas de poils qui nécessiteraient une prise en charge adaptée. Gertrude pourrait réellement s’épanouir dans un environnement calme et prévisible, auprès de personnes patientes, idéalement habituées aux chats craintifs ou indépendants. Notre priorité est avant tout son bien-être. Nous souhaitons lui permettre de rejoindre un foyer ou une famille d’accueil capable de lui offrir la stabilité, la patience et les soins dont elle a besoin. Gertrude is a lovely, spayed female cat, around 6 years old, with a white and brown tabby coat. A rescue cat, she has an independent and reserved temperament; above all, she needs a calm, patient, and stable environment. Gertrude was surrendered by her owner. We are currently caring for her, but unfortunately, our situation no longer allows us to provide the proper care she requires. Gertrude is not particularly demonstrative or easy to handle. She prefers to keep her distance, rarely allows herself to be picked up, and is reluctant to accept grooming or prolonged handling. If she feels forced or stressed, she may react by scratching or biting. Her coat currently has some matted areas that require appropriate grooming attention. Gertrude could truly thrive in a quiet, predictable environment with patient people—ideally those experienced with timid or independent cats. Her well-being is our top priority. Avec son superbe poil long, doux et soyeux, son regard curieux et son petit côté gourmand, elle charme rapidement tous ceux qui la rencontrent. Joueuse, curieuse et pleine de personnalité, c'est une jeune chatte qui aime explorer son environnement et s'approprier rapidement ses endroits préférés : le bord d'une fenêtre, un gros coussin bien installé au salon ou encore le fond d'un garde-robe. Annette est une chatte indépendante qui apprécie qu'on respecte son espace. Elle n'aime pas particulièrement être manipulée, mais elle vient volontiers chercher de l'attention quand elle en a envie, souvent au moment des repas, qu'elle accueille avec beaucoup d'enthousiasme! Elle adore alors les caresses sur la tête et le cou, mais préfère qu'on évite le bas du dos. Avec les autres chats, Annette a du caractère. Elle pourrait bien cohabiter avec un compagnon félin sociable, confiant et à l'aise avec ses congénères, mais un chat plus nerveux ne serait probablement pas le meilleur match. Malgré son tempérament affirmé, elle démontre un bel intérêt envers les autres chats lorsqu'ils sont réceptifs. Elle pourrait également vivre avec des enfants, à condition que ceux-ci respectent ses limites. Annette s'est aussi montrée très adaptable. Elle a récemment traversé une période de rénovations, avec tout le bruit et le va-et-vient que cela implique, sans démontrer de signes d'inconfort. Cette belle capacité d'adaptation laisse croire qu'elle pourra s'épanouir dans différents types de foyers, pourvu que sa famille respecte ses besoins, son rythme et ses limites. Annette fait partie du programme de famille d'accueil de socialisation, qui permet à des chats plus réservés de quitter temporairement le refuge afin de révéler leur personnalité dans un environnement familial et ainsi augmenter leurs chances de trouver leur famille pour la vie. With her stunning long, soft, silky coat, curious eyes, and love of food, she quickly wins people over. Playful, inquisitive, and full of personality, she enjoys exploring her surroundings and quickly claims her favourite spots, whether it's a sunny windowsill, a cozy cushion in the middle of the living room, or even the back of a closet. Annette is an independent cat who appreciates having her space respected. She isn't particularly fond of being handled, but she'll happily come over for attention when she's in the mood—especially at mealtime, which she greets with great enthusiasm! She enjoys gentle pets on her head and neck but would rather you avoid touching her lower back. Annette has a confident personality around other cats. She could do well with a friendly, self-assured feline companion who is comfortable around other cats, but a more timid or anxious cat would probably not be the best match. Despite her strong personality, she shows genuine interest in other cats when they are receptive. She could also live with children, as long as they understand and respect her boundaries. Annette has also proven to be highly adaptable. She recently went through a period of home renovations, with all the noise and constant activity that came with it, without showing any signs of stress. Elle nous est arrivée de la rue avec ses 6 petits chatons en pleine forme! Elle était assez méfiante à son arrivée, mais à appris à apprécier les câlins et les gratouilles dans le cou. Cependant, elle reste une chatte assez indépendante qui apprécie de passer la majorité de la journée à dormir, avant d’être un peu plus active en soirée. Elle mange très bien et est même un peu gourmande (en particulier avec le Creamy!), ce qui sera un atout de taille pour l’apprivoiser. Elle est également très propre et apprécie d’être brossée, ce qui sera peut-être nécessaire vu le volume de son pelage! Enfin, Klovni n’est pas du tout agressive et n’a jamais mordu ou griffé, même pour la mise en transporteur ou la prise de médicaments. Si elle n’est pas contente, elle préférera feuler et s’en aller. She came to us from the streets, accompanied by her 6 healthy kittens. While she was quite wary when she first arrived, she has since learned to enjoy cuddles and neck scratches. That said, she remains a fairly independent cat who prefers to spend most of the day sleeping, becoming a bit more active in the evening. She has a great appetite—and is even a bit of a foodie (especially when it comes to "Creamy" treats!)—which will be a huge help in winning her over. She is also very clean and enjoys being brushed, which will likely be necessary given the volume of her fur! Finally, Klovni is not at all aggressive; she has never bitten or scratched, even when being placed in a carrier or given medication. If she’s unhappy, she’ll simply hiss and walk away.
