Story
Well, hello dearie! I'm Lady, an older gal in search of a warm home to call my own. Now, I may have this thing called Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, but that won't stop me from being your purrfect companion. I'd do best as your one and only or with a pal who has the same virus. Let me tell you, I've got the sweetest chirp of a meow and this long, beautiful hair that's just waiting for a bit of attention. I'm spayed, got all my shots, and even have a nifty microchip. In my golden years, I've traded wild antics for gentle cuddles and cozy spots by the window. If you're on the lookout for a seasoned sweetheart who's seen a lot in her time, I might just be the feline friend you've been dreaming of. What do you say, dearie? Ready for a bit of love from this old lady?

Story
Meet Lilly, a beautiful long-haired black cat with adorable white paws and chin. Born in April 2014, Lilly has a charming personality that suggests she was once a super sweet and spoiled feline. Unfortunately, her previous owner passed away, and Lilly is now adjusting to the shelter environment.Lilly is generally friendly with people, but there may be instances of swatting if she is touched in a way she doesn't appreciate. Given her preferences, we recommend a home without other cats, small kids, or dogs. Despite her initial hesitations, Lilly has the potential to become a wonderful companion for someone who understands and respects her boundaries. She is spayed and current on vaccines; also tested negative for Feline Leukemia, FIV and Heartworm disease. Currently being treated for liver disease.

All AHHS animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate). Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions. Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!   This is Zeppelin!  Zeppelin is a fluffy love bug with a loud rattling purr and an adorable chirping meow.  He loves people but he wasn't sure how he felt about pets at first, he would give a gentle bite to let us know when he was done.. After a few weeks, he has completely transformed into a total lap cat who LOVES being petted and doesn't bite at all! He has learned to trust humans and he likes everyone he meets, often getting up on his hind legs to greet new people. Zeppelin is inquisitive, friendly, and playful, he does great with other cats and loves tussling with his foster brother before settling down for a snooze.  If interested in adopting this rockin’ cat, apply online at  ahhumanesociety.org  or email Halee at  halee@ahhumanesociety.org  with any questions! He feels safest when being held and petted. His foster mom says he’s gaining confidence slowly and could likely tolerate another cat, though a slow introduction and patience would be an absolute necessity. Olaf deserves a warm, loving, quiet environment so that he can thrive. If interested in being this boy’s safe space and giving him endless love, email Halee at halee@ahhumanesociety.org or apply online at ahhumanesociety.org.          May 1, 2024, 5:38 pm

After years and years of having litter after litter, she found a kind family that helped her to a better life. MK lives with many other cats in a foster home and does well but she would also appreciate a home where she could be your one and only. MK is very affectionate. She enjoys snuggling and sleeping with her foster mom. She loves to be brushed and rewards any attention with lots of purrs.
