Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
This little cutie started out feral but is well on her way to being socialized! She loves to play and explore but can be shy at first which is totally normal for a kitten learning to trust. Looking for someone who understands cats and their shy ways. Someone patient and gentle who can give her time to blossom into a confident, playful companion. Her feral mom brought her to my porch and I have had her inside working on taming her for the last few weeks. I guess her age to be around 4 months. I rescued her and two of her siblings and I am keeping one because they have stolen my heart but since I have an adult cat and a dog I can only afford to keep one of these precious babies! I think this sweet girl is now ready for her forever home!

Story
Meet Merlin! Merlin is a charming 12.2-pound gentleman with a friendly nature and a heart full of affection. He’s deeply bonded with his best friend Arthur, and the two are happiest when they’re together. Merlin loves playtime, especially when wands, laser pointers, or feather toys are involved. After he’s had his fun, he’s all about closeness. He enjoys being petted, settles easily into laps, and brings a warm, comforting presence wherever he goes. With his sweet personality and his loyal bond with Arthur, Merlin is ready to bring double the love to a home that welcomes them both. These two are a bonded pair who can’t imagine life without each other, so they’ll need to be adopted together. To help make that happen, only one adoption fee applies! If you`d like to meet our available pets, please check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Both of our locations are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information on our adoption process, including requirements and fees, visit: www.fairfaxcounty.gov/animalshelter/adopt

Story
Meet Purrapa! Purrapa is a petite 3.1-pound cat with a bright, alert presence. Though his history is a mystery, he’s quickly showing us that he’s a thoughtful little guy who likes to take in his surroundings before making a move. He enjoys quiet exploration, soft blankets, and observing everything with wide, curious eyes. Purrapa has a gentle charm that makes him easy to love, and he’s ready to settle into a calm, caring home. If you`d like to meet our available pets, please check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Story
An approved adoption application is required to meet me in my foster home -- fill out an application today! Our mailing address is Reston, VA and our cats fostered in NoVA and DC homes.  Washington, D.C.- Suburban Virginia/Maryland Area inquiries only, please! Meet Bologna (or Bolo for short)! This gorgeous orange gentleman was left behind after his previous family moved away, and now sweet Bologna wants nothing more than someone to keep him company. Once he gets comfortable, he is happy to settle into your lap. Bolo is generally a mellow kitty but enjoys a good play session with a wand or kicker toy. He also politely requests that you attend to his stately lion's mane (loves to be brushed and combed, which helps keep his coat free of tangles). Overall, Bolo would be a great edition to any family looking to gain the trust of a relaxed, resplendent feline. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 6, 2026, 4:10 pm
