Story
We have had Ava for 10 years. This is hard for us to consider as she has been such a good pet. We recently got a black lab, we kept them apart with a gate, her getting half of the house and him the other. We have tired multiple times to integrate them but she never seems to have much interest, no hissing or dramatics, but pees when we do so. Important to note prior to dog she never peed outside her box. With the failed attempts we feel she is just unhappy being confined to only a few rooms and honestly at this point so are we. We need to have full access to the house without gates, our dog now grown needs space. Ava is a calm cat, she takes some time to warm up and is very vocal. While she isn’t huge on snuggles she sleeps with us every night. She has been around a few small children, and while she likes to hide has never hissed or struck out when they approach her. But would probably do best in a quiet home with no kiddos, and no other pets.

Story
Charlie is a sweet affectionate girl who does well in a home without other pets or small children, she enjoys playing with her toys, and lounging on the cat tree. She is an indoor only cat, and is scared of loud noises. Her birthday is May 5 and she will be 5 years old. I believe she would make a great pet with an older couple or single person. Charlie does not like dogs or cats, and becomes very aggressive around them. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Story
Molly is looking for a new home with her brother Mac. Molly is sweet girl who can be a little shy at first but who loves people. She finds a lot of comfort in snuggling wither her brother Mac. Mac has tested positive for Feline leukemia virus or FeLV. This causes a compromised immune system and is contagious to other kitties. He and Molly must be adopted to a home with no other cats, or with other FeLV positive cats. Stop by the shelter to learn more about this lovely pair.

**Adoption visits are by appointment only** If you see an animal you're interested in, fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website https://everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-PetMeet Nichelle and Roddenberry! These two are very scared at the shelter and are looking for a nice, quiet home with patient adopters willing to give them lots of time to adjust. Nichelle is the more outgoing of the two and does seem to enjoy being pet. Roddenberry is still fearful but with time we think he will start to open up. If you have room in your homes and hearts for two kitties looking for a loving home, then look no further than Nichelle and Roddenberry!

Story
Meet Pigeon. He has a silly name and makes funny faces, but his heart is pure! Pigeon has been in our care and a foster home for many weeks being shown trust and love. He continues to grow and feel comfortable, and every day he is showing a bit more of his personality. Pigeon would love a home where he can be shown patience. There should be an understanding that he does not make instant connections, but through intentional socialization and time, a relationship is made that really pulls on the heartstrings. Relationships like these make incredible bonds that are emotional and rewarding for both the person and the cat. Pigeon is learning how to trust and show himself. If you want to take that journey with him, it will be full of love and joy. This cat is currently in a foster home and unavailable for adoption at the adoption center. If you want to learn more about this cat please email us at adoptions@seattleareafelinerescue.org. Thank you for choosing adoption and making a rescued kitty part of your family! Our team is looking forward to welcoming you to SAFe’s Adoption Center (20226 Ballinger Way NE Shoreline, WA 98155).
