Story
Fluffy is an adorable medium hair brown tabby who is sweet, affectionate and cuddly. He was born 10/3/23. He likes to play, but his real love is being with people and having his soft fur petted all day. Fluffy and his brother Turbo (listed separately) originally came to UAF from a shelter in NM, and were adopted by a loving family who adored the kittens. Unfortunately, the family dog became obsessed with the kittens, and the family determined that they needed to find a new home for the kittens so that they would not be harmed by the dog. These siblings like to snuggle and play together. We would prefer that they be adopted together, but might consider adopting them separately under the right circumstances. He is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, is neutered and is microchipped. Our adoption fee for one altered kitten (up to 1 year old) is $100 and for two altered kittens is $125 which helps cover expenses (vaccinations, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets United Animal Friends rescues. If a kitten is adopted and taken home before the required set of kitten vaccinations is completed, the adopter will be responsible for completing any of the required vaccinations including a rabies vaccination at 4 months at their own expense. If you have any questions or to adopt a cat from United Animal Friends (UAF) an application must be filled out. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home. From the Petfinder website (Petfinder.com) click the 'More About Us Button' and then click on the 'Adoption Application' button that will take you to the United Animal Friends website. Then follow the UAF website directions below: From the United Animal Friends website: Select "Adoptable Cats" and pick the cat you are interested in. To apply to adopt, open the cat's profile, and click the gray "Apply for Adoption" button to get started. The fastest way to get to the adoptable cat page is to copy and then paste this link into your browser: https://unitedanimalfriends.org/adoptable-cats/ A United Animal Friends representative will contact you soon after receiving the application form. Story
Simba is a medium hair, orange tabby with an amazing, gentle personality. Although he is an older gentleman, he is active, curious, funny and, above all, seriously affectionate and loving. He loves to sit in the window and watch the birds. He quickly became the favorite of the UAF volunteers as his personality made everyone who met him fall in love with him. Simba is 10.5-years-old. He has a thyroid condition which is controlled by an inexpensive medication. He was one of 8 cats who came from the home of an elderly gentleman who had fallen ill and could no longer care for his cats. Simba is now ready to share his love with a new, lucky family. He is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, is neutered and is microchipped. Our adoption fee for one altered adult cat (7+ years old) is $75 which helps cover expenses (vaccinations, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets United Animal Friends rescues. There is a discounted adoption fee for a second cat that is adopted at the same time. If you have any questions or to adopt a cat from United Animal Friends (UAF) an application must be filled out. Story
Luna is the perfect a lap cat who likes to snuggle. The 6-year-old is very sweet, loving and affectionate. When she was in a temporary home, Luna adjusted very quickly and was quite friendly and playful. The gentle feline would do best in an adult home. Luna has a beautiful medium-long grey & white coat. She is comfortable being brushed, bathed, and having her nails trimmed at home, but is also accustomed to going to the groomer for a “spa date.” Luna is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, is altered and is microchipped. Our adoption fee for one altered adult cat (1 year to 7 years old) is $85 which helps cover expenses (vaccinations, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets United Animal Friends rescues. There is a discounted adoption fee for a second cat that is adopted at the same time. If you have any questions or to adopt a cat from United Animal Friends (UAF) an application must be filled out.
