Ms. Kitty is one of our feral barn cats that would love nothing more than to chase down those unwanted rodents! Ms. Kitty doesn't have a single friendly bone in her body and hates anything human. She'd do best on a property that doesn't need love, but needs a hunter!

Story
Pepper used to be one of our awesome feral kitties. After quite a bit of time with us, he started to come out of his shell a little bit and wanted attention. We decided to put him into one of our community rooms, which has left him a little bit more skittish than not. Pepper would likely enjoy a quiet home and an owner with a lot of patience to help acclimate this scared kitty to their forever home.

Story
Meet Faith! This beautiful tuxie girl came to us looking pretty rough. We took her in and gave her a safe place with lots of love and warmth. She is sweet, likes to cuddle, and is always up for a good nap. Faith enjoys playing and chasing the cat toy wand. She’ll do best in a low activity environment so she doesn’t get overstimulated. Faith is looking for a quiet home and a forever human who can give her the time and space for her personality to shine. If Faith sounds like she may be a match for you, reach out to us to set up a meet and greet.

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN and 10 other cats were dumped in the Home Depot parking lot in Hawthorne, California. Our trapper friend was notified and she started trapping them. She took her because she was emaciated. Eyes were sunk in and a bad URI. She had a litter somewhere and she was too sick to release back. Because she was in such bad shape, we think the kittens all died. We helped her with 4 cats. And will hopefully help her with any of the rest of the cats. We named them after the show BONES. The rescue mama was watching that show at the time. DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN, a feisty Turkish Van from Hawthorne, California whose striking white coat is as bold and brilliant as her larger-than-life personality. Bones, as her friends call her (and yes, she absolutely expects to be your friend—eventually), is the kind of cat who marches to the beat of her own pawsteps. She's got sass, class, and a touch of mystery—true to her namesake. With a mind as sharp as her claws during playtime, she keeps things interesting with her signature blend of charm and strong opinions. She’s playful, intelligent, and never one to turn down a good game of chase-the-feather or laser-pointer espionage. This confident lady knows what she likes—and she’s not afraid to let you know. Her preference? A quiet kingdom where she's the reigning queen. While she’s full of personality and has a soft spot for her favorite humans, she prefers not to share her domain with other cats. She’s a solo act, and honestly, she rocks it. Turkish Vans are known for their athleticism, playful spirit, and love of high perches, and Bones is no exception. She’s curious and clever, always eager to investigate new spaces or watch the world go by from a windowsill throne. Just be ready to give her a little space on her terms—she’s not one for constant snuggles, but when she warms up, her affection is genuine and full of trust. DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN thrives in a calm environment with a patient and loving caregiver who appreciates her independent streak and can match her clever energy with enrichment and play. She’d be a great fit for someone who values personality and a touch of drama in their feline companion—because with Bones, life is anything but boring. Could your home be the mystery-filled adventure this bold beauty needs? If you're ready for a one-of-a-kind cat with a sharp mind and an even sharper sense of humor, DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN might just be your perfect match. DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TURKISH VAN MIX. She is about 3 years and 1 months old. She has lived with cats, but would do better by herself. She has never been around children or dogs. DR TEMPERANCE "BONES" BRENNAN is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! WOLVERINE, her mom X-23 and her sister ELEKTRA were saved in Hemet, California. The wonderful lady that lives in a mobile home saved them from the very cruel neighbors. She fostered them till they were ready for us to take them. Meet WOLVERINE, a sweet and curious Turkish Van mix from Hemet, CA, whose stunning yellow eyes and shiny coat will captivate you at first glance. While he may be a bit shy initially, once he builds trust with you, WOLVERINE transforms into an affectionate, cuddly companion who loves nothing more than curling up for a cozy snuggle session. His gentle nature and playful spirit make him an irresistible friend, always eager to explore new things and share love with those he holds dear. WOLVERINE has a particular fondness for wet food and Churu treats, which he eagerly devours, making meal time a delightful experience. His playful side shines through when he’s chasing after toys, leaping with agility, and engaging in his favorite games. He’s also a highly curious and inquisitive kitty, constantly exploring his surroundings and investigating every nook and cranny, making him a little adventurer at heart. One of WOLVERINE’s most special relationships is with his sister, ELEKTRA. The two share an unbreakable bond, spending hours together, playing and cuddling. Their companionship is a heartwarming sight, and they absolutely love being in each other’s company. Whether they’re snuggling up for a nap or embarking on a playful chase, ELEKTRA and WOLVERINE are the perfect pair, bringing endless joy to each other and anyone lucky enough to watch their antics. WOLVERINE is looking for a loving family who will appreciate his quiet, thoughtful nature and understand his need for patience while he gets comfortable in a new environment. Once he’s given the time and space to trust, he will reward his family with endless affection, laughter, and curiosity. A home where he can continue his playful explorations with his sister ELEKTRA would be the perfect place for this sweet, inquisitive boy. Are you ready to share your home with WOLVERINE and ELEKTRA? Together, they’ll bring warmth, love, and adventure to your life. For more information, please go to our website: Workinwhiskers.com WOLVERINE is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TURKISH VAN MIX. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! YAMATO and her 6 kittens were living in a tough area in Compton, California. These poor babies were living in someone's back yard in the heat. She was fixed and brough to our rescue to recover. It was discovered that she is a very sweet girl. We were also informed that her kittens all passed away. They were saved by a different rescue. So YAMATO (named after the anime: ONE PIECE) has known the street life for a very short time. With all the tragedy that has happened to this girl, she deserves to be have a wonderful home. She has now been living a nice pampered life in our cattery. Meet YAMATO, a feline with a spirit as strong as her namesake. Her independence shines through in her daily routines. She's brave, often exploring new corners of her surroundings with a cautious curiosity. Her intelligence is evident in the way she solves our treat puzzles and toys. Despite her bravery and smarts, YAMATO maintains a mellow demeanor, often seen lounging peacefully. She can be a bit shy and skittish, preferring a calm, quiet environment. But once she warms up to you, she'll show you a loyalty that's unmatched. Adopt YAMATO and you'll gain not just a pet, but a companion who will brave life's adventures with you, offering a comforting presence in quieter moments.
