Story
Meet Wisp – A Bright, Fierce Little Survivor Wisp arrived at UPAWS in heartbreaking condition — severely underweight, hypothermic, and fighting a heavy parasite load. She was so fragile that our team wasn’t sure she would survive her first night. With round-the-clock care from our vet tech Meghan, including IV fluids, warming support, careful feeding, and constant monitoring, Wisp slowly began to fight her way back. Day by day, her tiny spark grew stronger… and then one day, she lifted her head, gave a raspy little meow, and decided it was time to live.Today, Wisp weighs about 4.5 pounds and is a bright-eyed, spirited, affectionate girl with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. She loves attention, enjoys snuggles, and has the cutest little spunky streak. She’s a total survivor — and a living reminder of what love, care, and second chances can do.Wisp isn’t currently on medication, but because she experienced significant malnutrition, she will benefit from having a regular veterinarian to help her continue thriving. If you’re looking for a petite, affectionate kitty with a courageous spirit and a whole lot of love to give, Wisp might just be your perfect match. Fill out an adoption interest form at upaws.org and schedule a meet-and-greet to get to know this special girl.

Story
This lady is in a foster home so do not sign up for an appointment to meet her. Send in an interest form and your information will be sent to her foster to set up a meet and greet!https://upaws.org/animal-interest-form/This older gal came to us as a stray with severe matting and not feeling her best but after some TLC with her foster, she is ready to find her retirement home!!If you don`t mind someone wondering around your home and sometimes just telling you how it is, this golden oldie may be for you! She loves to perch on the windowsill and watch the outdoor world and she LOVES to have a nice cooling refreshment straight from your running water faucet! She might sometimes be a creepin on you in the shower if you let her enter the bathroom but then afterwards she checks to make sure your okay - and also probably try to get you to turn on the faucet for her again! She may look like a plucked chicken right now, but her fur will grow back and may need some minor brushing to help her keep it tangle free and her looking like the beautiful lady she is.This lady would appreciate a home with no young kids and no other animals so she can just do her thing. She will come with a supply of food as well!

Story
Betty is a petite 12-year-old beauty with the softest grey coat and the biggest, most captivating eyes. She’s truly one of a kind! Everyone at UPAWS adores her — she’s gentle, affectionate, and absolutely thrives on attention. If you sit down, she’ll be right there ready to soak up your love.Betty is currently on a thyroid medication that helps keep her feeling healthy and happy. Her adoption will include a bottle of her medication to get her started. Because of this, Betty’s future family should have an established veterinarian to help continue her care. This sweet little lady has so much love to give and is ready to brighten someone’s home with her friendly personality. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily keep you company, Betty is your girl.?? Come meet her and let her work her charm on you — we know you’ll fall in love!Dan and Cindy Bussiere have sponsored Betty. $0 Fee to adopt.
