Have you ever met a cat that you feel is silently judging you as she gazes into your eyes? A cat that acts like she is smarter than you in every way? This is Rosie, our medium haired beautiful black kitty with adorable tufts at the end of her ears. She was rescued from a concerned neighbor after seeing her in the development with her young kitten. They were scooped up and the kitten was rehomed, while Rosie came to HOPE. She has been with us since March, and we can't understand why she hasn't been adopted yet. She may have been abused, because she does flinch a bit when someone attempts to pet her head, but she loves a back/neck rub and will purr almost immediately. Once she feels comfortable with you, she lets down her guard. She loves mealtime and it seems as though she understands everything we say. She enjoys playing with some of the kitties through her enclosure, so she may do well with another well-mannered pet in the home. Rosie is estimated to be 2 years old, is spayed, microchipped, updated on vaccines and tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

He came to us from a family in Albany who found him in their yard. At the time, he was malnourished and they spent two weeks feeding and caring for him outside. Buckley has now recovered and has adjusted well to his current environment. Buckly loves his head and chin scratched and looks forward to his interactions with staff and volunteers.
