Story
He was found outside in the middle of winter huddled up to an electric box for warmth when he was roughly 5 months old. He is now 3, almost 4 years old and I have made the decision to rehome him due to ongoing aggression towards my elderly cat. He attacks her for no reason, completely unprovoked and rips out chunks of fur and skin leaving open wounds on her. He has also recently began inappropriately urinating around the home, but so does one of my other cats, so that is not the reason for rehoming. It is a difficult decision, but I feel it is best because my elderly cat does not deserve to be treated the way he treats her. He does great with adults, kids, and dogs. He is only aggressive towards other cats and needs to be in a home with no other cats. He has been to the vet about the urinating and it is nothing medical causing it, purely behavioral. It could just be due to stress. He is very loving and friendly towards people.

Story
Liv is an adult, spayed female cat, probably born in 2019.  She's petite but fluffy so she looks a bit bigger than she is.  Liv is kind and friendly, but she has an eye injury right now, so she's very squinty and doesn't see well.  She can get startled if she doesn't know someone is about to touch her.  Once she understands what's going on, she will turn in circles to be petted and can sniff out a cat treat at 20 paces.  She has a bob-tail - not sure if she was born that way or if she had an accident, but it's very cute - like a pompom on her backside.  October 12, 2024, 11:45 am

Story
Casper is an adult male cat, probably born in 2019.  He is waiting his turn to get neutered.  He's very strong and gentle, and likes being handled.  He's still in quarantine, so we don't know how he does around other cats in person, but he sure isn't upset and seeing/hearing them in the quarantine room.  If anything, he's very curious and wants to see more. His coat is a little greasy/static-y, so he might be a cat that would benefit from a little brushing now and again.October 12, 2024, 11:45 am

Story
Cecily is spayed female cat, born early June 2019.   She was adopted from us as a kitten and has now returned (through no fault of her own) to find another family.  She's a very "soft" cat, not just soft fur, but a soft little purr and a soft, friendly personality.  She is still in quarantine and spends most of her time at the front door of her apartment, looking around and trying to get volunteers to pet or brush her.  Her little round head is perfect for gentle bumps and sometimes she will even give kisses.  She is an all-around adorable little cat. Update: Cecily has recently tested positive for feline leukemia. It's possible to get false positives, so we will wait a while and re-test her.  This is a disease that impacts cat's immune systems.  In a shelter, foster or adoptive home, it's important to protect FELV cats from exposure to other diseases, as they don't have a robust immune system and get them to the vet quickly if they do seem to feel sick.  No waiting around to see if they "shake it off," because they are less able to do that.  FELV is contagious, but it's not easily spread (the virus dies quickly in the environment, so specific situations have to exist for it to spread).   This diagnosis is serious enough to be respected, but not so serious that Cecily can't be adopted and have a wonderful life with her family.October 12, 2024, 11:45 am
