Story
Noni is a sweet, independent and laid-back 2 year old cat. He loves staring in the window, playing fetch with his favorite spring toy and late night cuddles. He loves to play as he is still very young. And if there’s a fly in the house, rest assured he will be determined to catch it. I rescued him as a stray during pandemic as a friend for my dog during the days I had to work. He’s good with both dogs and cats as long as he is gradually introduced, he will adjust over time. He’s easily persuaded with food and treats. He HATES being brushed and will try to bite the brush. But he will let a groomer touch him so no worries there. He’s up to date on all of his shots. My boyfriend is allergic and the medicine he takes is starting to not work anymore. Plus since we moved from Cincinnati I had to take a lower paying job so affording him and my dog had become a bit much for us. We are looking for someone who can give the proper cat love he needs.

Story
HyperthyroidMeet Trent, a sweet and loving senior kitty with a heart of gold. Trent was found abandoned in the cold outside our adoption center, left in a carrier on January 13, 2024. Despite this rough start, Trent's resilient spirit and gentle nature shine through. Trent is a handsome tabby with a lush, dark brown coat adorned with striking black stripes. His expressive amber eyes tell a story of resilience and hope. With his plush fur and dignified presence, Trent is a picture of classic feline grace. Trent has been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, a condition that requires daily medication and consistent but manageable medical care. Despite this, he is a healthy and active cat who is neutered, vaccinated, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Trent is a calm and affectionate senior who loves to lounge in cozy spots and soak up all the love he can get. Although he is a bit shy at first, Trent adores being petted and will quickly warm up to gentle and patient affection.  He enjoys the simple pleasures of life, like a warm bed, a good meal, and the company of a loving human. Trent's mellow demeanor and gentle nature make him the perfect companion for a quiet and caring home. His story is one of survival and hope. By adopting him, you'll not only be giving a deserving senior cat a loving home, but you'll also experience the unconditional love and companionship that only a cat like Trent can offer. His special needs are easily manageable, and his gratitude and affection will more than make up for the extra care he requires. If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and serene companion, Trent is the perfect match. Give Trent the forever home he deserves, and you'll gain a devoted friend for life. Come meet Trent today and see how much joy he can bring to your home!   **This cat is currently in a foster home and arrangements can be made for a meeting once you have applied with us. All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. Story
FIV+Meet Buddy, a charming and resilient black cat with a heart full of love and a story of survival. With an estimated date of birth of March 4, 2017, Buddy came to Colony Cats around his seventh birthday after being caught in our TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) program in Blacklick, OH. Despite his rugged appearance, Buddy is anything but feral—he’s a gentle soul looking for a loving home. Buddy’s distinctive chewed-up ears add character to his already unique look, telling tales of his adventures on the streets. He was named “Buddy” by our volunteers because of his incredibly friendly and affectionate nature—he's the kind of cat who will follow you around, always eager to be by your side. Buddy is FIV+ and FeLV-, which might sound intimidating, but with proper care, FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is a slow-acting virus that affects a cat's immune system, similar to HIV in humans. Regular vet check-ups, a nutritious diet, and keeping Buddy indoors will help him thrive. FIV is not easily transmitted and can only be spread through deep bite wounds, so Buddy can live safely with other non-aggressive cats. Buddy has been neutered and vaccinated. He’s had some teeth removed, meaning he would do best with regular dental care and a diet of soft food. He also has a heart murmur, but these conditions don’t slow him down.  Black cats often get overlooked, but we’re hoping that won’t be the case with Buddy. This mature boy was surviving but not thriving outside, so he was brought in to find a loving home. Now, he’s ready to start his search for the home of his dreams. Imagine having a loyal companion who will greet you at the door, follow you around the house, and cuddle up with you in a comfy sunbeam. Buddy is a big love bug who craves attention and affection. He’s ready to share his endless love with a family who will cherish him. Come meet Buddy during open hours at our adoption center and see for yourself why he’s the perfect addition to your family. Buddy is ready to find his forever home and fill it with love and companionship. Don’t let this wonderful cat get overlooked—Buddy is waiting to become your best friend. Come meet me at the cage-free Adoption Center! All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. **If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process.
