Meet Toby – Quiet, Sweet, and Soft as Velvet Toby is a beautiful, long-haired boy with a gentle spirit and fur as soft as velvet. He is about 8 months old. Though shy by nature, he has a sweet, calming presence and is slowly learning to trust the world around him. He’ll thrive in a home that offers him patience, love, and the time he needs to come out of his shell. Toby is especially bonded with his best friend, Tulip, a playful and spunky girl who helps Toby feel safe and confident. The two are nearly identical in looks, like long-haired twins, but Toby is just a touch lighter in color. Together, they make an absolutely adorable pair. Toby and Tulip were rescued from a cat colony and brought in to be spayed and neutered, but once we saw their sweet, affectionate sides, we knew they deserved a real home, not life back on the streets. She is the perfect complement to her quieter best friend, Toby. Tulip’s long, soft fur makes her as cuddly as she is adorable, and her joyful spirit brings so much life to the room. Tulip and Toby were rescued from the same outdoor colony, brought in to be neutered, and quickly won everyone over with their sweet, loving natures. Sending them back outside simply wasn’t an option. Rossi came to us as a stray from a local trailer park in town. He's used to living outside, but prefers to be inside now. He's adjusted well to using a litter box, being fed on a consistent basis, and getting all of the love/pets/head scratches he wants. Rossi is an extremely food motivated guy who acts like he's starving, even though he jumps in front of the others to eat every morning. Rossi was previously TNRd (trapped, neutered, released) before we got him. We got him updated on his shots. Since he was an outside cat before coming to us, he tested positive for FIV. In infected cats, FIV attacks the immune system, leaving the cat vulnerable to many other infections. Although cats infected with FIV may appear normal for years, they eventually suffer from immune deficiency. Rossi needs to be the only cat in the house, or housed with other FIV+ cats. He's great with other cats and kids. He currently free roams the cat room with the other FIV+ cats that we have.
