Story
Rossi came to us as a stray from a local trailer park in town. He's used to living outside, but prefers to be inside now. He's adjusted well to using a litter box, being fed on a consistent basis, and getting all of the love/pets/head scratches he wants. Rossi is an extremely food motivated guy who acts like he's starving, even though he jumps in front of the others to eat every morning. Rossi was previously TNRd (trapped, neutered, released) before we got him. We got him updated on his shots. Since he was an outside cat before coming to us, he tested positive for FIV. In infected cats, FIV attacks the immune system, leaving the cat vulnerable to many other infections. Although cats infected with FIV may appear normal for years, they eventually suffer from immune deficiency. Rossi needs to be the only cat in the house, or housed with other FIV+ cats. He's great with other cats and kids. He currently free roams the cat room with the other FIV+ cats that we have.

Story
Hi there! I'm Ramsey! Aren't I the most stunning medium-haired boy? I'm a sweet and loving kitten who's sure to be the most purrfect companion for my adopter-- could that be you? I'm looking for a furever home where I can get lots of cuddles, playtime, and treats! I do well with all other animals and adore every person I meet. I was rescued when I was just a few days old and have grown up in Beagle Freedom Project's care at their sanctuary in Nowata, Oklahoma, so I'm very social and friendly! I hope someone special decides to add me to their family soon! My location: NOWATA, OK *Please note that third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. My correct and current location is the one listed directly above!* *Beagle Freedom Project facilitates out-of-state adoptions, provided the adopter is able to travel to the animal's current location for pickup.* If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an adoption application at https://bfp.org/adopt/ Please email the Beagle Freedom Project Team with questions at: adopt@bfp.org. ABOUT BEAGLE FREEDOM PROJECT: Beagle Freedom Project is the world's leading organization for rescuing and rehoming animals used in experimental research. Story
She is very sweet and friendly, but other cats seem to make her nervous.  She prefers Purina EN dry food and likes creamy seafood wet food.  Adopted 8/2021 and returned 9/2022 due to peeing outside of litter box but she wasn’t on medicine consistently.  Owner loved her but decided to return her.  She uses a “regular” litter box that has clay litter in it, but she occasionally will pee on a puppy pad.  She is on Fluoxetine to reduce stress and hopefully keep her from peeing in places other than the litter box.  Fluoxetine is a gel that goes on the hairless area of an ear flap – switch ear flaps daily.  This medication is in a transdermal gel applicator and is easy to give.  The cost of this medicine is $75.34 for three pens on an auto ship for every 12 weeks.  This medicine does have to be set up by her vet and Feline Specialties does this for her now.  She would love to have a home of her own as the only pet in the home. All cats have tested negative for FeLeuk/FIV and are current on rabies and FVRCP vaccinations.  All kitties have Home Again microchips implanted and are registered at no charge to the owner.  Adoption fee - $75; If 65 years or older Adoption fee - $65; If adopting two cats - $135; If 65 years or older adopting two cats - $125.   StreetCats is located at 3105 S. Winston Ave., one block west of 31st & Yale.  We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.  Our website is www.streetcatstulsa.org and Facebook is www.facebook.com/streetcatsinc.  All people wanting to adopt must come into StreetCats and have all members who live with them come in also.  We do not adopt out of the state of Oklahoma and prefer to adopt in the greater Tulsa area.
