Currently located in: Standish, ME Adoptable in: ANYWHERE! (Transport available to most places!) Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Yes, as always a proper slow introduction will be required as with any other kitties being introduced to a home. Please refer to https://www.jacksongalaxy.com/blog/the-dos-and-donts-of-introducing-cats/ Good with kids: Yes! Litter box trained: Yes! House trained: Yes! Meet Garfield & Odie! Best friends Garfield and Odie love to be with each other. If they can find a box big enough for the both of them, they will snuggle together and lay there for hours. You will also find them laying in the window, on blankets, and each other. Odie is very nervous and relies on Garfield to know that they are in a safe situation. When they meet new people, they will band together and hide. As Garfield gets to know new people and places, he becomes more brave and starts asking for scratches between his ears and on his belly. Although Odie is more reserved, he watches everything that’s happening. These boys are learning that people can be safe. Please allow them time and space to adjust to their new environment. Garfield and Odie are very special boys and they were saved from being put to sleep due to their FIV+ diagnosis. These two boys have no health issues with their diagnosis. Cats with FIV+ can live long and healthy lives. There is no reason for them to be put to sleep due to this disease. We have included a couple of links about FIV so you can learn more here: https://vbspca.com/what-you-should-know-when-adopting-an-fiv-positive-cat/ https://www.alleycat.org/resources/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv/ If you think you are the right home for them, please apply to adopt him here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScq8ShXPVGLfrGHlIYMk0plgI_PJxOEMdr8QItpQMXYCnluvg/viewform All of our animals are fully vetted before going to their furever homes. They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, up to date on flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and microchipped! The adoption fee is $550. We do not accept deposits or the adoption fee until you have your new fur-members. Please Note: All animals are posted until they are officially adopted. This animal may have other interested adopters in line. Please apply quickly if you are interested. We are very quick to respond and process applications! You will be required to provide 2 non family personal references, a home video tour and a vet reference if you’ve previously had animals. Please feel free to send video to our email or facebook upon submitting an application, this lets us know you are serious and ready but also helps us to get you approved quickly. We will text and or call upon receiving your application to schedule a phone interview. You must be an approved adopter in order to go on meet and greets. This saves everyone’s time- especially our gracious foster families! This also allows for you to take the animals home from the meet and greet if you so choose. Interested in fostering? We would love to have you join our family! Fill out the same application above- we have our fosters go through the same process as adopters! Questions? Please email whiskersfunds@gmail.com or message us on facebook! For more photos, or information on upcoming adoption events where you can meet them, please go to our Facebook page www.facebook.com/whiskersfund Thank you for helping to save lives!

Story
Say MEOWLLO to Zombie! He has captivated the hearts of his foster family with his boundless affection and gentle demeanor. He has 2 nicknames that he loves, Zoombie and Zoom-boom-ba-foo (and yes he responds to them)He has a purr that rivals a symphony, Zombie's presence alone is enough to soothe any troubled soul. He possesses an uncanny ability to sense when someone needs comfort, and he wastes no time in offering his soft embrace and tender purrs to anyone in need.Despite his ominous name, Zombie is anything but spooky. He earned his moniker due to his knack for resurrecting joy in the hearts of those in his presence. His playful antics and endless affection can transform any skeptic into a devoted cat lover.Zombie's days are spent lounging in sunbeams, chasing toy mice, laser pointers, and spreading love wherever he roams. His foster home is an oasis of tranquility and warmth, where visitors are greeted with a gentle head bump and a whisker tickle. When Zombie shows love, he uses his entire body.Whether curled up on a cozy blanket or nestled in the crook of an arm, Zombie reminds us all of the simple joys found in companionship and unconditional love. He is not just a cat; he is a beloved foster pet looking for his furever home, a steadfast friend, and a reminder that even in the darkest of times, love will always prevailIf you would like to meet with Zombie, please email bspcafoster@gmail.com to set up and appointment. Story
London was adopted from a shelter on 12/23 after healing from her front-leg amputation surgery. Despite the missing leg, she was speedy and energetic the moment she had room to be. She’s healthy, sweet, vocal, and a big goofball. She loves to zoom and chase toys, and her loud purr tells you she loves all the attention and pets. Unfortunately, after 5 months of slow introduction/maintaining separation from our other 4 cats, she has not shown any signs of warming up to them. For this reason, we are looking to rehome her in a home without other pets or children that may not know to read her signs of overstimulation.
