Meet Hex! This fine feline is lookin' to be a barn/workin' cat. Cats of this nature prefer minimal to no hooman contact and are not suitable for the house cat life. The adoption fee is waived for all barn/workin' cats. Email christy.hemsworth@rva.gov if you're interested in making Hex's wild cat dreams come true! Story
Lovely Loralie is a remarkable kitten, though she does require some time to acclimate to new individuals. Unfortunately, recent introductions haven't been ideal, as they haven't afforded her the opportunity to truly showcase herself. We believe that a family open to a trial adoption period of one week would be the perfect fit for her, allowing this beauty to relax and reveal her true personality in due time. Story
So many stories in the rescue world about cats and they all seem to have the same start all too often and too sad.  This stunning grey tabby and white boy is called Chester, he is just barely one year of age and born to a stray momma cat.  Living outdoors all his life, his momma brought him and his littermates to a family house where she hoped to be fed and to care for her litter born outside a home.  Somehow her 4 kittens survived and here is Chester to prove that miracles can happen for these lost and forgotten mommas and their babies.  Chester is now a very handsome 13 pound boy that has been invited inside a foster home and is being given the wide berth to relax and make himself at home as a pampered and well fed adult cat.  He’s still super shy and will hide a lot under the bed, but he is starting to come out for some play time and chin scratches.  In just 4 days he has made such strides and advancements to allow toys to entice him to come out several times without fear and allow his new foster mom Joyce to pet him and given him chin rubs.  He is learning to be petted and to trust this new foster mom.  He and his littermates are all grown up but very young and they are getting better with the litterbox training and are eating with a hearty appetite.  We feel that time and patience will see Chester and his siblings stay out from under a bed or in hiding more and more as they learn they are safe and have a promise of food and love every day for the rest of their life.  If you are interested in helping Chester learn daily how to receive love and be happy with being touched, then please email us and ask to foster him or adopt him.   Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com we are anxious to find a capable home to love him all the way. Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.  September 12, 2024, 11:19 pm

Story
Sometimes when people say that a pair of pets need to go together to a new home, we laugh and roll our eyes.   Not this time.  This time we have Tim and Rush that need a home that will allow them the lifelong freedom to hang out, curl up together, just coexist together in a home where they can bring love and joy to their owners.   These boys are buds and Tim is 10 years and Rush is 4 years.  They are both loving and cuddly with their human owners.  They are experienced and fine with dogs and would make the best pair of cats that entertain each other and also will entertain YOU!  Rush will talk to you and tell you all about how his day has been if you learn for even the least amount of time.  He will tell you about his day and in turn listen to how yours has been.   Tim on the other hand is a clown and will carry a sock in his mouth around the house like a pacifier.  If you have ever thought of adopting a pair of cats, then look NO FURTHER.... these two handsome boys are ready to make your wish come true!!!  A pair of Prince Charmings!!!   Please is you are looking for a pair of Ginger colored cats then email:  ccrnewengland@gmail.com Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. Story
Pip is a very loving and sweet cat once he warms up to you. He tends to mostly keep to himself but he does love attention when he's in the right mood. He loves to be outside, preferably in a fenced yard. We're rehoming Pip because he is just not happy in our noisy, busy household. Our two kids are very active, and our one year old loves him but unfortunately is still learning to be gentle and give him the space he needs. We think he would be happier in a calmer environment.

Story
My son brought Trixy home in September 2021 when she was an abandoned kitten (from the parking lot of his employer). At that time, we had an older cat who took her under his wing, and she did great. He has since passed away, and our other older cat and Trixy do not get along as well. Trixy is sweet and people-friendly, but she has too much energy for our 11 year old cat, which is causing her a bit of stress. Both cats are indoor only but like to sit in an open window on a nice day and watch the world outside. Trixy is about 10 pounds, and she does a good job of keeping her fur clean with only the occasional knot on her neck or behind her ears that she needs help with. She knows her name and comes when we call her.
