This girl is full of spunk and love for people. She has been with her foster home for many years, as it will take someone with an understanding of the mindset of a textbook tortoiseshell to appreciate what all she has to offer.  For almost two years of her life, Georgie did not get what she needed. She was underfed, underloved, and left craving loving human attention. We don't even think she remembers that time. Wherever she is, she thinks she is the queen. While this can be awesome if she is an only cat, it doesn't always work well with other felines involved. It is definitely on a cat-by-cat basis. Georgie is smart as can be, and demands attention...sometimes at inconvenient times. But she does love her people and she purrs to show it. Currently, she is getting lion cuts to remove the pesky matts that longer-haired cats can get. She thinks she is pretty great when she comes back from getting that done! For someone who would love to have a cat in their life and does not have young children or other cats, Georgie could be a fit. She is a senior, so senior issues will be creeping up. Dali and Miro have the "art" of love perfected! They are HUGE fans of one another, it is so sweet to witness. Barn home needed! This cat has been evaluated for behavior and comfort level around humans and determined to be feral or semi-feral. Feral and semi-feral cats are fearful of humans and panic when confined, making placement into an indoor home stressful and upsetting for these individuals. They may have been outdoor cats in a previous home, strays who lived independently from humans, or some other history that makes close contact with humans troublesome. Rather, HSSC is pursuing an alternative outcome in which this cat can provide pest control for a barn, shed, shop, or something similar while a kind human provides shelter from harsh weather and a consistent source of food and water. With this arrangement, independent cats are able to live comfortably in a life that suits them, while community members can set aside their worries about pests! Orange Blossom takes her motherhood very seriously- even though she is still a kitten herself! She watched over her bebes as they played together and pounced and bounced all around her. She is a calm and affectionate girl- but on her terms- gee, what a CAT!!!!! lol! Maybe you would like to take OB AND one of her little ones home!!! Wouldn't that be sweet? This pet was examined by one of our medical team and found to have a Grade II out of VI heart murmur. There are several possible causes of heart murmur and the Humane Society of Sheboygan County lacks the resources to fully diagnose them. With kittens, there is a possibility that the murmur will resolve as the cat ages. However, it is still recommended to consult with your veterinarian to monitor this condition. We do recommend that you speak with your regular veterinarian both before and after you might adopt. It is strongly recommended to pursue chest x-rays, at a minimum, with possible need for echocardiogram and/or cardiologist consult.
